That sounds professional, my artist varied on certain little things but said pretty much the exact same thing. If you aren't sure take the advice given and call an artist about what should be done for after care. It never hurts to ask an actual pro.

I've never heard coco butter lotion, but it seems ok I guess. Not right at first obviously.
As for mild soap, I recommend SpectroJel. It's soap-free, irritant-free, alcohol-free, fragrance-free. The stuff is GREAT. Every single tattoo artist and piercer I've talked to says it's what they recommend.
But yeah...go ask the artists, not your friends.

Our studio's after care instructions are different - so what? There's more than one way to heal a tattoo. Everyone will tell you something different.
Here is the important part - "if you have any questions ask you artist not your friends who do you think knows best."
I could not agree more.

Sounds right to me - I've seen variations but basically the same thing from most professionals.
Best line: If you have questions ASK YOUR ARTIST!

use a&d the whole time or" tattoo goo" NO LOTION
lotion can sink under the ink and cause runs trust me i have plenty of tattoos and if you apply a thin to med. layer of a&d about 3-5X a day they will turn out great DO avoid direct sunlight and swimming. i covered mine when i showered and then lightly washed tattoo with mild soap a water and applied a&d after drying

Holy crap, man, ever hear of punctuation? LOL!
This is good advice though, I've read lots of questions regarding tattoo care.
