ok, i know the phrase 'i love lamp' comes from the movie anchorman - but my question is - why would you use this phrase in daily conversations? how would you use it? (give an example) ? are there any particular reasons that you like this phrase if you do use it? thank-you!

I've used it in a self-deprecating sense. For example, if I say something that I realize (usually right after I say it) (a) was a dumb thing to say, or (b) is obvious, and doesn't need to be said, I'll say something like, "duh," or (if at a party drinking beer), "man, this is good beer," or "I love lamp."

Of course, I'll only say the latter if I know the people I'm talking to have seen the movie.
