My answer to everything is don't worry about it. And Marie, I think the word is that vanity is self consciousnes the same as bragging. The problem with identifying with your thoughts is that it's hard to see yourself overall from the inside of your thoughts. You have to get outside to see the forest from the trees otherwise you give too much bias to your thoughts. I hope that makes sense, because it's so valuable to be able to stand back into your awareness without judging, just observing from what I think of as the real us, the awareness. Everything else seems to be what we have. Like in having thoughts and not being them. We seem to be only awareness. If you don't judge yourself then you are tall enough.

I don't know how extreme we have to be to avoid vanity, but I put makeupe on, worry about my weight etc.. but I don't think I'm vain. I do it because I'm totally oposite. I'm self conscious.
But then someone could say, well don't be self conscious because it's being ungrateful with what God gave you.
LOL, I don't know. If you're not inlove with yourself then I think it's OK.
