hi
ur problem doesnt sound like an eye problem but u never know.......do u feel letters in the text are blurry, smudging or spreading sometimes?? if yes u need an eye test immidiately.
to avoid troubles while reading, u should sit in an upright position allowing maximum light on the reading material.
also u can take breaks after each hour of reading, during this break take a little walk, look at very distant object, drink a glass of water and start again. u will feel the change.

if u have any more querries u can contact me on kothari_jay55@yahoo.com
i m an optometrist havin my own optical shop.

Don't think so. Most people fall asleep because they aren't interested in whatever they are doing. Pretty sure this has nothing to do with the eyes.
