Ignorant, granted. But hardened and depraved might be better terms. Man sees the mighty works of God and dismisses them immediately.

Mankind is so lost; that is one reason why every salvation is a miracle.

Look at how long it took the Israelites to forget the great works their own parents told them about. Not even one generation!

Let us never forget the great work He did in choosing us and saving us and keeping us until that day. Even so, Lord come quickly!

I guess it would be poinless to mention just how many halfdead half alive little semi god men were around at that time. In that century there were at least thirty different versions of virgin born divine crucified ascended to heaven cult figures. Jesus was just one of many.

Not really. If he was half the troublemaker the gospels make him out to be, if he really caused an upheaval in the power structure and claimed to be the Jewish messiah... then I don't blame the romans. If you want to give order to a society, you kill the insurgents and leave the bulk of the population that just wants to live their lives alone.
