are you answering these questions to help others understand, or are you trying to make yourself look wise? do you answer these questions out of love, or do you do it to insult others? it's easy to fall into that trap, and i can't say that i'm 100% innocent, but after reading some of the responses on this site from other christians, i think that from time to time, we all need to be reminded to answer these questions with helpful intentions in mind. peace.

I have to agree with you here. I see too many Christian answers. I believe myself to be christian but I don't get preachy and judgemental about my responses. There are questions in voting that look like the christians are just voting for themselves.
How christian is that?

Well, if you are not 100% answering in the right spirit, then you are not the one to ask that question. Yes, I always answer to help others, but depends on the question. I just answered a question about someone feeding skins and urine to his slaves, so I guess it has to depend on the quewstons. Do you think he wanted a spriritually enhanced answer? But seriously, I do want to help others to understand what I feel in a effort to influence them spiritually in the right way towards being a Christian. It is not something you take the opportunity to put someone down, if they are truly serious about the question. I find some of these questions are asked by people who are taking the opportunity to ask stupid questions, and put the religion down just for fun. Look at the questions and you will know what I am talking about.

I'm answering these questions because I've got a lot of time to do so and it's interesting to read the questions and see how others answered. Since I'm new, I answer seriously, trying to give accurate information, but I can see how many become jaded. A lot of the questions deserve an insulting answer since the question is insulting. So far I just avoid those questions.

I try to be helpful and answer out of love and to teach others.
If I try to make myself look wise, I may see myself as wise in my own estimation but may look like an idiot in someone else's, so I don't try to be wiser than anyone else.
We are guaranteed to have conflicts of opinions here at times due to the fact that we all see, think and understand things differently, that's part of being human.
But if you're deliberately sarcastic or insulting to others here and you are a Christian, you need to remember Jesus' words that if we have done this to the least of His brethren, we have done so to Him also.

Really, if God wants to me to be of use here...I am thankful...but I answer because I have my own questions being answered and i answer as far my Scriptural readings would go and what the Lord has made me understand...

Sadly, most of us are too self centered to hear the spirit. It is easy to fall into that trap. We learn to be self centered in this country. That's what we need to work on.

You couldn't be more right.
I like to answer just the spiritual questions
and try to be more spiritual in answering less spiritual questions.
It seems too much intellectual answers takes the whole meaning out of spirituality.
