ie if Maan would not had gone to forests for tapovan and she could had been in Hastinapur whatever were the conditions , then what do you think that she could had been more nearer to God than tapovan path or not . and why because the condition with Maan were different .

No her presence in Hastinapure would have created more negative energies as she would remember her 100 children and then would see pandavas as sinners.

Had Satyavati continued her stay in Hastinapur she would have been put in more sorrow by seeing the ensuing disaster. So Vidura wanted here to spend her old age in such a condition that will not bring in sorrow in her life. Accordingly he sent Satyawadi with Vyasa away to the forest so that she would not have to see the coming disaster.-
