ie if Maan would not had gone to forests for tapovan and she could had been in Hastinapur whatever were the conditions , then what do you think that she could had been more nearer to God than tapovan path or not . and why because the condition with Maan were different .

So Vidura wanted here to spend her old age in such a condition that will not bring in sorrow in her life.
