They should decide for themselves. Circumcision is from a time when it prevented infections, but now most men wash themselves so it's not needed. This should be a personal choice, and I wouldn't like torturing a baby just for looks or my own selfish wants for a child. Isn;t it the same thing as genital mutilization? What next, female circumcision in the US? Nowadays there are no benefits to circumcision as long as one knows how to clean oneself properlly, not a hard thing to do.
"Pain: Babies are very sensitive to pain and often suffer tremendously after the circumcision is performed. Some studies suggest that this early pain experience leads to a change in your baby’s central nervous system. As a result, your baby may actually experience heightened pain sensation in the future.
Reduced Sexual Enjoyment: The foreskin contains highly sensitive nerve endings which help to increase lubrication and enjoyment during sexual intercourse.
Increased Hygeine Care after Birth: Circumcision may actually increase the amount of personal care you give your child after birth. The wound must be carefully cleaned and bandaged to prevent infection."
As for baptism, again it should be a person's choice. After all, it's their life that they will be living, and the parents have no say what religion their kid ends up anyway. A parent hass no right to force this upon a child, the child may do what they want when they are grown.

One is a cruel and barbaric practise that causes the child to pass out from sheer agony, and the other is the removal of the end of the penis. hehehehe
But seriously, leave the penis alone! I had my foreskin cut off, not for religious purposes but for aesthetic reasons. I was a baby and had no say in the matter.
Luckily though my parents didn't try to indoctrinate me with any religion.
Both should be informed choices by the child. As far as religion goes, the child should have a non-biased education on the beliefs of all religions and be left to decide for themselves.

Circumcision is most beneficial and least harmful when done as an infant. (a huge amount of benfits, with little to no REAL drawbacks)
Baptism is just a silly and pointless concept.
as long as it doesn't actually put the child at risk, if it helps the adults feel better, why not. it doesn't *help* a thing, but if it makes them feel better... why not.
I'm circumcised, I'd have had it done if it hadn't when I was a baby, but I'd be pretty annoyed that they hadn't done it when I was a baby, its just better all around.

Circumcision is not necessary but Baptism is, and the parents of any child are responsible for not only it`s physical welfare but also it`s spiritual good as well, the world tries very hard to take this responsibility away from parents these days and this goes against the laws of God.

It's Genital Mutilation no two ways about it.
Just cause "some" cultures are mature enough to stop it with female babies, doesn't mean they are mature enough to stop it with ALL babies.
As for baptised - Babies can not be considered able to make an informed choise as to their chosen faith.

It is incumbent upon the believers to have their sons circumcised after birth. As our father Abraham was circumcised as well as the other prophets (peace be upon them all). Allah (God) knows best!

Ritual infant genital mutilation is abhorrent. It should, and I am confident will, be outlawed everywhere in the world in due course.
