In the right hands Tebori tattooing takes no more time than a tattoo done with a machine. Many times they are so skilled it flies right in. Pain is all interpreted by the individual. Some find it more painful, others less. It is dependent on whose hands the work is in, too.

Healing is also the same.

Edit notes - here is someone who thinks the pain is less - http://www.bmeink.com/A30412/tattradi.html

Does the color last longer with Tebori than regular tatooing?

Thats probably true, I have 7 tattoos and I don't care what anyone thinks about it, I have seen judgement in peoples eyes and even had someone ask me why I had them, and that they had no meaning, all my tattoos have meaning to me, and they are just closed minded, so I gave the meaning of each one and they though that made sense, but they are still closed minded, not a judgement, just an observation.
