Every night, before I go to sleep, I always tell myself "I'm going to do it. I'm going to change tomorrow. I'm going to talk to them more." But I can't. It's harder than I thought; plus I have nothing to talk to them about. Any tips on how I can change?

Good that you're trying. I think change is always a long process that occurs over time with a lot of hard work, but trying to change each day is the best way to achieve that! So good luck, keep up the hard work, I'm sure you'll reach your goal. You also have to be realistic about your goals, not everybody's going to fit into a size 1 dress, and it's not meant to be that way (I know I can't!) Part of life's challenge is learning to love ourselves the way we are, so you have to learn the balance between the two. Of course if your goal is to put down the crack pipe permanently then that's a reachable goal and one you should not give up on. If you are shy that's difficult to overcome but also possible to improve a lot by working at it. All best.

You change every 24 hours, my friend. Your blood is different, the cerebral fluid surrounding your brain and central nervous system is different, you shed skin cells and hair, so trust me, you change every day.

I'm not sure what behavior or attitude is causing you such dismay that you would want to change overnight. But whatever it is, simply stop or start doing it, as the case may be, and you will find that emotional and philosophical changes are not that hard to pull off, as long as it's not an addiction.

If you're going to try positive sayings, you need to be specific. Try reading "Cybernetics" by Dr. Maxwell to figure out how. If you want to talk to someone, try going to www.toastmasters.org to learn how to talk to people, or read "How to Win Friends and Influence People" to figure it out.
