Is this a sin or not???

Question

I always wish to God that I turned into an emperor penguin (still retain my human spirit) right now and live in Antarctica and start over a new life there. Because I do not like my life now. So, is wishing to have a new life or wishing to be turned into an animal a sin? Thank you very much.

By the way, i am serious. I am having a hard time in my life, I don't like my current life anymore, so I want to be an emperor penguin and start a new life.
I am a christian by the way.
Other people who have other religions are welcome to answer my question. Thank you. I will do anything(Except hurting others) just to be an Emperor Penguin for my whole life.

BNU- May God Bless You! Sweetie we all have times in our life that are low. Even at your lowest point look up to God because he does care and has a plan for your life. I wish I knew why you are so unhappy now.

It has been said by many that when your depressed or unhappy and want things to change for the better. You have to smile when you do not feel like it, and go through the motions of positive behavior-because it forces you out of the negative behavior. Also eat healthy good food can help you produce endorphins that promote happiness.

Write a list of all you have to be thankful for in your life. If you can not think of anything go small. Write a sunny day etc. Spoil yourself a bit. Also help someone else because when you help others it often helps you more.

umm...i dont think so, but i think God would want you to be happy with how he made you, when he puts trials in front of you it's to test your faith and to make you stronger and prepare you for future life. Let me give you an example:

One night, after a HARD HARD time in my life was getting started, I begged Heavenly Father to end my life because I was sick of the misery and constant pain I was in. I had never recieved a more slap in the face when I felt like he was saying "the Lord loves you and you are experiencing this for a reason, so make the best of it and you will come out stronger than you have ever been"....after recieving this, I made the best of it, and today I feel a stronger preasence of peace then I have before....so try to do that and, hey! you'll be stronger than you have ever been...

Oh, and to answer your question, hahaha, No i don't think it's a sin.

Good idea. I myself have the same notion of wishing to be domestic dog of some kind.

If you have a bit of money, you can see a psychiatrists ($200) and see if you might qualify for antidepressants.

Research what symptoms of depression first, because if you are vague they will just send you away. I suggest Prozac and a good choice as most of the others make me too jittery.

And a side perk would be if you get treated, you may actually dream of being in a pen quin wonderland.

You ought to see the Movie " March of the Penguins " before you go thru with your wish. Those little suckers have to walk 75 miles one way to their mating ground, withstand the freezing temps and hang around with the egg while the Mother goes for food. Then the male penguin has to make another 75 mile trip back to the Ocean. Pick another animal for pete sake.

Just remember God is forgiving... yes the bible says a lot of bullsh-- is a sin, but wishing that your an animal is not bad, because I mean the world has people committing adultery, stealing, and murdering 24/7... you are just admiring God's creation, please don't be imtimidated by what people around you tell you... you have the freedom to think whatever you like

It isn't a sin to want to run and hide. Life isn't for wimps or cowards and being a Christian isn't going to change that. At least you have God to catch you on your way down. Where would you be without that?

Great that's all we need is Christian penguins. Flapping their beaks all day long preaching the bible. Well how you gonna preach the bible if the pages are frozen together? huh? Also it should be a sin to even think that any part of your idea is sane or smart

Would that I had been a tree or rock... no it's not a sin to sometimes wish that you could start over in life as something that doesn't have the choice to believe in Allah (God) or not. Being human, with the free will to choose to believe in Allah (God) or not, is difficult... though in the end to believe willingly in Allah (God) is massively rewarding because we will have the love and mercy of our Lord. i think it shall not be a sin becouse all has wished for a second life i have even god may have wished for a second life all though watever is puting you down shall be put into place by carma i think all religeons work together they work for diferent things like buhda for after life or christianity for a nice sane life on earth and for our time and all religeons are ture as long as beliefed in so i dont think its sin but if i were you i wouldnt wish for that becouse if it comes true you cant go back and to sin is to be sined on remember that

Since you are serious about it, I will give you a serious answer!

Every moment you are up....just say His name continuously, until you are tired. You will find it will eventually become part of you and you will be saying His name in your sleep as well. That will lead to your detachment from the earthly world. Then you will come to the stage of prayer.....and then you can pray God whatever you want and your prayers will be answered and you will meet HIS as well.
