If you put all the different flavors of American Baptists into a jar, they would gouge each others eyes out. I mean, does your church handle rattlesnakes? Does your pastor marry divorcees together? Baptists are fine. I'd shop around though and experience the likes and dislikes of other viewpoints. Don't forget, the original KJV says: Thou SHALL commit adultery.

Fundamental anything is always a bad idea. When they start dictating what anyone wears or does, there is a problem.
And then it makes organizations who dictate the way people should dress or act no different than the Taliban.
So they'd best be careful or ol' Dubbya will invade them to further his fight on his War on Terror.

I like Bible-believing Baptists. In fact, I give my favorite Baptist a shave and coffee every morning.

I think any belief system extolling the virtues of Invisible Sky Critters is a bit suss.
There's real good money to be made from religion - Treating it or Pushing it - IF you can keep a straight face.

Fundamentalist Baptists do not believe that its ONLY them that can be saved. They believe that anyone who is born again and who believes that Bible is true, and believes in Jesus Christ can be saved.
I think fundamentalists in general, baptist or not, are great Christians.

They are the only ones going to heaven, dear.
While you can get partial credit for being in the right stadium (protestants) or the right seating area (baptist), only the Southern Baptists use the inerrant KJV1611.
