I'll tell you who made God if you can tell me how matter and energy originated.

I didn't think that it was possible that I could possibly agree with the Christian-hating last angry black guy, but I do! As your question so aptly points out, the fact that God "was, is, and always will be" DOES violate the argument that many Christians put forth that EVERYTHING has an origin, a design, a designer, etc. I agree with you.

The trouble with your argument is this. It attacks imperfect humans of imperfect logic. Is this a true discovery that even people who believe might misunderstand some of the key points along the way? Christians who say that have OBVIOUSLY trapped themselves and you've OBVIOUSLY called them out on it. But ... the Bible doesn't make that argument; therefore, God Himself doesn't make that argument. You went right past the source to exploit the vulnerabilities of some unwitting Christians who have spoken in haste and have not thought their arguments through very well.

Now, I ask you this. Do you think that Christianity stands on the fragile word of a few imperfect Christians? Or does it stand on the Almighty? As the play says, "Your arms are too short to box with God"; yet, you keep on a tryin'.

Every effect must have a cause. This is true by definition. But God is not an effect. He has no beginning and therefore no antecedent cause. He is eternal. He always was or is. He has, within Himself, the power of being. He requires no assistance from outside sources to continue to exist. This is what is meant by the idea of self-existent.
But just because it is impossible (by definition) that a creature be self-existent does not mean it is impossible for the Creator to be self-existent. God, like us, cannot be self-created. But God, unlike us, can be self-existent. Indeed, this is the very essence of the difference between the Creator and creation. This is what makes Him the Supreme Being and the source of all other beings.
The notion of something being self-existent is not only rationally possible, it is rationally necessary. Again reason demands that if anything is, then something must have, within itself, the power of being. Otherwise there would be nothing. Unless something existed in itself, nothing could possible exist at all.
God exists in Himself eternally. He is the source of all being. He alone has, within Himself, the power of being.

Okay Athiest, ask yourself this. Really look at what I am trying to ask you. You claim a big bang made the universe. But where did that material come from how were the atoms made. If there is nothing how can there be an explosion if there was always nothing. If there really is nothing then there is no color, no Universe, no nothing. How could there be material to start the Big Bang. Sounds crazy right? We don't have answers but isn't there just as good a chance that maybe God made the Universe. There are so many unanswered questions for both theories. But what if God exists outside of the time and space we live in. We cant even fathom this, wouldnt it be possible then? Theroy 1: Atoms and material and space came into existence by themselves magically with a poof Theory 2: A Supreme God created the Universe from a place outside of the Universe because he lives outside the constrictions of time and space. How did he come to be? He will surely reveal this to us in heaven which is outside of time and space. Surely this makes sense moreso than a random poof that created a vacum of space, atoms material and our planet happened to have just the perfect conditions for life. 50 degrees hotter and we would all be dead. If our planet was just a few thousands of miles closer to the sun we would be dead, or farther and be frozen. Our worldis also located in th best possible place in th Milkey way to support life. There is an infinity of possibilities that would have to take place for the eart to form itself with the ideal conditions we have. There is only one explination: GOD

Hello Charlie...

Not to brainwashed, God is a Spirit and lives outside our concept of time, and living and dying cycle...

Hebrews 13:8 - Jesus Christ is the same, yesterday, today and forever...

He has always been - did not need to be created He is God it is where all life began and ends - always will be

(Please note: Jesus is God.)

Do you know how many times this kind of question gets asked and its always the same answer but i'll tell you anyways. No one can create God he is the creator NOT the created. Everything has to come from something and that something is God. Its not like numbers where it goes on forever God is the beginning and the end of all things.

Ok ok I'm pretty sure we all agree on one thing and that is this subject cannot be made any simpler than it already so why doesn't everyone just not think about such things and just enjoy life!!! Sure ponder on this for awhile but in the end, your gonna remain the same and congradulations! You just wasted a part of your life!!! :D

I think it is safe to assume you are an atheist. You will continue to bash Christians because you feel somewhat insecure of your lack of faith. I have read that some scientists believe there has to be some higher power which created our beautiful, amazing universe. I just cannot believe that anyone could look at their beautiful baby and think that all they are is "a clump of cells" that just happen to evolve... Look around you-don't you see all the beauty that God has created? Do you really think all this "just happened" out of nowhere?

You are talking about the same people who accuse science of being dogmatic in one sentence, then say it's wrong because its always changing in the next. And by using the word "brainwashed", you allowed them a way to bypass your question.

Notice all of these god has always been answers. They didn't even answer the question of who created god. They can't even follow their own premise that something can't come from nothing.

God is the Creator, so nobody made Him, but things around us including the vast Universe and everything in it are creations, so there has to be a 'Creator' for it. And that creator is God. Or will you tell me the whole universe is made by itself. If this is true, then why do we need to make things of our use. Look at the simple thing: the pen or pencil. Is it made by itself????????? Then think about the whole universe, who made it. If u say, it is made by itself, just like God, then why can't another universe be made. Even with the great inventions, science cannot make another world of this kind. World is too big to be asked, just a small "Earth"cannot be created by science and technology.

No, they are not, as God exists outside of time and space; the physical universe. Time is dependent upon the physical, and not the spiritual. It is arrogant to conclude God cannot exist on another plane outside time and dimension.

But while we're at it, explain where all the matter in the universe came from if there is no first cause, God. After all, even science understands there was a beginning for all matter. So explain it "scientifically."
