hehe the joys of motherhood, don't worry just keep on trying with her. when i was training my daughter i used to put pull ups on her but it just seamed to make things worse, she would have accidents all the time, i think it just confused her.
she did much better when i just stopped using the pull ups, and only used underwear.
She will get it, and don't worry about her holding it, i asked my doc about this, she sd kids have much better things to do than use a potty, when shes really got to go she will go, whether its in the potty or not, who knows, but soon enough she will prefer the potty. have fun and enjoy being a mommy.

Well, all this "holding it in" shows that she knows how to hold in those sphincter muscles and let it go when she wants to. I think she needs little rewards for when she goes potty so she'll be motivated to use it more often. Hopefully all day. She has a lot of awareness of how the process works. She just needs a reason to keep using the toilet. Maybe you can get her some "Dora" panties or her favorite character. Tell her she can only wear them when she goes potty. Panties are for "Big girls" who always go potty. Try something like that. Or maybe an M&M reward for every time she uses it.
I also agree with the others that the pull ups seem to be confusing her and she's getting mixed messages from you.

Are you sure she's drinking enough liquid? My kids sometimes were too "busy" to think about using the toilet, with the usual results. Perhaps you should go back to the nappies and then gradually start again rather than make a big deal out of it. She's only 2. If she's drinking enough liquid and wearing clothing that's easy for her to handle or knows she can ask for help when she needs it, then you shouldn't worry. Some children respond to "rewards" when they use the potty -- works on some, but not on others.

She may not be ready for the "big potty" yet. Holding her urine that long can cause bladder infections, etc. Have you had her checked by your pediatrician? Your dr. may give you more helpful answers about the potty training. Each child is different....does she go "poop" in the potty or in her pants?
Good luck...I have been through it and it can be frustrating to both the parent AND child!:)

Firstly, I don't believe a two year old could have that sort of bladder control.
Secondly, you are confusing her!!! Stop with the nappies!!! At her age, you only pop one on at night or for naps in her cot! Get some of those square waterproof things so you can pop one under her in her buggy, or in the cot when she naps. Putting a nappy back on her is giving her very mixed signals.
Above all though, don't stress about it! She won't go to school in nappies, I promise!!

I think maybe she doesn't know how to tell you, or maybe she just can't tell when its time to go yet.
Every 1/2 hour ask he if she needs to use the washroom, But every hour to hour and 1.2 make her go no matter what. That way you might save yourself an accident later. And she is only two, Don't get too stressed out, she will learn soon.
