Can it cleans within the body when you applied some on the skin/ajna area/heart chakra?(Not by swallowing the paste/powder). Is there any side effect? Can you be allergic?

CHANDAN - SANDAL WOOD-

There are many good medicinal effects of Chandan
when applied on our body. Massage of chandan or chandan Oil reduces muscle-tension and relieves pain, opens the pores of the skin, thus eliminating poisons from the body through sweat. It also speeds up blood circulation.

There are many benefits of using Chandan -

1. Massage is used to improve blood circulation, to reduce oedema, adhesions in tissues after injury, reduce muscular spasm and improve muscle tone.The literal meaning of 'massage' is manipulation of the soft tissues of the body using the hands. In naturopathy, massage occupies a very important place in the treatment of diseases of all kinds. For centuries, massage has been used as a remedy in India, Greece, Rome, China, Egypt and a host of other countries.

2. Massage reduces muscle-tension and relieves pain, opens the pores of the skin, thus eliminating poisons from the body through sweat.

3. It also speeds up blood circulation, hence reducing swelling (oedema), relieving tension of the nerves and soothing them, is used primarily for Ayurvedic purposes

4. It stimulates the digestive system and activates the urinary system.

5. Sandalwood is considered in alternative medicine to bring one closer with the divine. Sandalwood essential oil, which is very expensive in its pure form. Sandalwood, along with agarwood, is the most popular and commonly used incense material by the Chinese and Japanese in worship and various ceremonies. It is also used extensively in Indian incense, religiously or otherwise.

No side effects are know about use of Chandan. Allergies are also not reported and in fact it reduces skin alleries. -

It is just a fine perfume base. No validated study on medicinal properties or toxicity.

Since it is in use for thousands of years, it is quite safe.

What was excepted (Refreshing) is probably its only effect.
