How many of you who are christians are spirit filled? And for those of you who are christian- but not spirit filled- why do you not agree/believe in it? Those of you who are spirit filled- do you practice spiritual warfar (ie casting out demons etc) or walking around your property lines and praying/anointing with oil? I am a spirit filled christian and was quite ignorant to the fact for many years that not all christians are spirit filled- just sitting here thinking about it- thanks!

I was baptised in the Holy Spirit almost 20 years ago. It was the greatest experience of my life. I was changed forever. Those who haven't received yet need to ask Jesus for it. The world is soon coming into the tribulation times and I believe we (Christians) will face greater persecution. Yes, I have been a part of various spiritual warfare, including casting out demons. But Jesus said to not rejoice in this, but that our names are written in the book of life.

I'm Spirit filled, not Pentecostal, and I have had times of Spiritual warfare. I believe God fills all believers and seals them with His Spirit when they first believe.

2 Corinthians 1:22; Romans 8:16; 2 Corinthians 5:5; Ephesians 1:14
"who also sealed us and gave us the Spirit in our hearts as a pledge."

I also believe that not everyone is aware of or responsive to the Spirit within them. It is the same Spirit that changes our hearts and our desires, reveals God's will and opens the scriptures to us for greater understanding. He does indeed guide and teaches us. He also empowers us to love beyond our own love, but with God's love.

We become vessels of His love, that can be poured out and through us, according to His will, to touch those He chooses. What a blessing it is to be one with Him. It is His will that we all should be this way. If you don't have this, ask and pray for it. You have to realize that it is not about us, but it is all about serving Him and others. It is in the giving that we receive! If we try to selfishly hold on to it for ourselves, it stagnates like the manna of the Israelites. He truly is the "bread of life"!

1 John 5:14
"This is the confidence which we have before Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us."

John 7:38
"He who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, 'From his innermost being will flow rivers of living water.'"

May God bless and use you to touch the lives of others.

Friend, I am pentecostal, saved, sanctified and filled with the Holy Ghost. I have dealt with the situation of casting out demons, walking property lines and praying and anointing with oil. Some may have not dealt with these areas but there are areas I have not dealt with...God has areas for all of us and expects us to operate in His will, and to know it ain't about us and it ain't us...all is for His glory. Be blessed.

Might I just politely point out that walking property lines and annoiting them with oils sounds very much like pagan spell casting? Oh wait, that's right ... most Christian holidays and rituals were stolen from the pagans to begin with .. what was I thinking? !!!

Sorry ... you continue to be spirit filled and enjoy the bliss.. its your life after all :)

undergo in innovations, tongues are no longer the only present of the Holy Spirit! one million Corinthians 12:4-6 * awareness * wisdom * Discerning of spirits (Human, Angelic, Demonic) * speaking in tongues * Interpretation of tongues * Prophecy * faith * working of miracles * healing

Here is a fascinating fact for you - this is not a christian thing. Twas done centuries before christendom was born and is still practiced today. The whole anointing with oil thing is not christian but pagan, as you call it.

Cool huh!! When you people call others heathens, devil worships and pagans, you are talking of yourself as well... what a fun concept!
