That's tough... they are in the same class I'm assuming,....? maybe dress them in the same outfits with each in their own color.... they need to be individuals, but at this age they don't care what they wear it's still about mommy right now... enjoy it while you can!

Please dress them differently.
I was a preschool teacher for 10 years, and even fraternal twins are hard to call from across the room when you don't know which one is actually standing on a table! Plus they are different people, with different identities. Yes they're physical make up is the same, but their lives will be molded differently.
They can be coordinated... perhaps same jeans but baby A has a blue striped shirt, baby B a green striped shirt. Most children's clothing comes in different colors for the same style - so this should not be difficult to do.
You will make it easier on the teachers, but also give them a sense of independance and individuality. No matter what, they'll always have their twin connection. Clothing can never change this, even when they're 15 and one is on the footbal team and the other on the chess team... they may run in very different style circles, but always know they're uniquely connected.

My twin girls are now 17 and I never really dressed them alike. I did it once when they were in pre-school and never did it again.
It was hard enough as it was to tell them apart when they were little because they physcially looked the same. Then adding the same clothes, the teachers/kids would confuse the two of them and my girls HATED being called the wrong name. I started picking similar outfits instead: they'd both would wear clothing with a flower on it, or stripes etc. It looked cute and they could be told apart. As they got older, they had no intrest in dressing a like and now a days at the age of 17, they look nothing a like.
Best wishes

It's adorable when identical twins dress alike.
I think you shouldn't, though, because the teacher may start getting mixed up. It's not that big of a deal but it may be a bit embarrassing on the teacher's part. It also may be a little confusing to the other children who may not have seen identical twins before.
They also should be starting to be [very] young individuals now too. Starting school should mean making new friends and they may only stick together if they look the same all the time.

Have you tried letting them pick what they want to wear each day? Within reason of course....set out two or three outfits for each child and then let them choose which one they want to wear for the day.
I don't have twins, but I do think it's important to let children discover who they really are...not who mommy and daddy want them to be. That sounds kind of rude...I just mean that if you dress them exactly alike in a situation where they will be in a new environment meeting new people and basically expanding their horizons, dressing them differently would help them to know subconsciously that it is okay to like different things than their sibling.
And now I'm rambling...:-)

No, dress them differently! I teach at a preschool and it makes it very difficult for the teachers, students, and everyone involved when twins are dressed alike.

I would dress them differently. It's ok to dress them alike sometimes, but that can get confusing for the teacher. I think it's cute when twins or brothers are dressed alike, but it is good for them to start having individuality.

We have twins as well, and my wife always dressed them identically until they were old enough to want to pick out their own clothes. Sometimes they want to wear the same, sometimes they don't. At preschool age, our twins were able to pick out what they wanted to wear if we said, "What shirt do you want to wear today?"

They should probably be learning individuality and to socialize with others. If you dress them alike they will probably stick together instead of interacting with the other kids and they won't try to show indviduality. See if they want to be dressed alike and if they really want to then do it otherwise try differently.

I would say let them fress themselves. My son does and has been for around a year now and he is 3 1/2. Give them choices and individuality.
