I actually got a book on that topic. Here's a link to the amazon site. http://www.amazon.com/Socrates-Buddha-Confucius-Jesus-Philosophers/dp/0156835800
It's a great book. You may even check the library or see if a used copy is available.
They were all enlightened beings who taught others. BTW, Buddha is not a god as someone else stated. He is merely an enlightened being. Socrates and Jesus were ordered to death for their beliefs (Jesus was crucified and Socrates was forced to drink Hemlock). There are religions based on the lives of Jesus, Buddha and Confucius. Confucius, Buddha and Socrates were vegetarians. The teachings of Confucius, Buddha and Jesus all include the golden rule.

Socrates was a philosopher that sought knowledge and truth.
Buddha reached a higher state of being called enlightenment, which is a state of peace and understanding.
Confucius I don't know as much about. I apologize.
Jesus focused on love and reforming his religion.

Socrates as a philospher had wisdom that was earthbound oriented or the wisdom of the world more on political / social lives. Socrates was not a spiritual man or not chosen one among natural men by THE LORD GOD. Buddha is a Prophet to the enlightened peoples whose GOD is unknowable and unreachable. Confucious was merely a philosopher of men on the way they handled their day to day life in the right way but not political and hgh society oriented. THE LORD JESUS CHRIST is a Prophet to the Christians and also the Highest Prophet among all the Prophets and so was a GOD in man incarnate or GOD-Man.

I'll make this real simple, Socrates, Buddha, and Confucius all died and were buried and rotted away. Jesus was buried and rose again the third day to everlasting life. The first three had ideals to live by. On the other hand, Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life and no one goes to the Father in Heaven but through Him.

All have some that are sturdy, some that are purely easy stupid, and a few that are undesirable or at a minimum pointless and could be skipped over. All societies and all religions in the time of historic previous, alongside with maximum different animal species at that, share someone-friendly set of difficulty-loose morals that stepped forward over the years. extremely on the comparable par as "instincts" human beings characteristic to animals.

wow...thats a huge order.
All I know for sure is that they all believe in an afterlife of some kind.
Jesus differs from the others because He is The living God.
If I had to get detailed info like that, I would just google each of them and see what turns up!
Good luck with that!

Buddah came before all of them, outlasting thing more than thousands of years. Buddah came in the Phoarah's times, before the Bronze Age. Before those. The before, were enlightened ones, ones that didn't seek war.

The first three are philosophy which deal with just trying to find a way to live life and be good in life to where Jesus taught that he is God and that no one can come to God except through him, he was more than just a good teacher he was God and came to pay a price to forgives us of sin if we pray for forgiveness and believe in him.
