Themselves. Begging someone to worship a sadistic, immoral, killer God who commands his followers to hurt and kill people, is NOT an act of 'love'. Maybe it makes them feel better about condoning that stuff themselves or something.

That's a really good question! As a Christian I do feel lead to share the Gospel or the Word of God to others. But with that said, I don't think anyone including myself should Shove their Religious Beliefs down anothers throat. I think personally it's wonderful seeing someone who has actually changed their Lives for the Good..Another words stopped from sinning and began living a Godly Life. I don't think it's wrong to try to actually Help someone when you see them going down the road of destruction, and try leading them back....My brother died a year ago on the 26th, he was an alcoholic, he climbed a cliff and when he reached the top, his heart stopped and he fell to his death. The so called friends who were with him, DIDN'T care that he was gonna climb that Cliff, they only cared about themselves.....I wish someone would have shown my brother the Love he needed that day to at least take him home safely........Some times we reach out, because no one else will.....

Well the closest I come to "saving" someone, is probably just trying to "enlighten" them to a different way of looking at a problem...

I am buddhist (for the most part) and I can't see trying to help someone that I didn't care about at least a little bit.

So I have to assume that Christians are the same way... they care about you at least a little bit...

Save us from what????? Only they believe in a god that created a hell for his children, let them burn in it with him! What kind of love is that? They should be extremely worried about themselves before they try to save people who are already saved. Blessed Be.

Anyone who is committed to something feels that it is in a way right for all. To a lesser extent all Coke drinkers think Pepsi drinkers are crazy. The same feelings and actions apply to religious fervor but to a higher state of awareness. It is deeply rooted in our innate desire to better ourselves.

Love.
If you knew someone was doing something that would hurt themselves or other people, would you warn them? They do it out of concern and caring about others. It is not about racking up "points" or saying they are better than anyone else. They honestly are trying to help. The gospel or "good news" about Jesus Christ is also something that they want to share with others. They have found that Jesus IS the way, truth and life! Through Him all can know the living God.

Actually; It's a little of both; As Christians we are expected to preach in and out of season. But by emulating Christ's love for us; we try to show love for all

They are trying to lead you to salvation because the bible says to preach the word of God to every creature in the world. If the shoe fits wear it.

love. It does not say anywhere in the bible that you get 4 acres of clouds instead of 3 if you recruit 10 people to Christianity.
