Do we go to heaven or hell? Or are we just left by ourselves? Or do we wait in limbo until Christ comes? Will we know anyone there? What do you think?

Our spirits continue to live in a state called the spirit world. After a period of time, we will be resurrected and judged by Jesus Christ. Then we will receive a reward appropriate for our faithfulness.

I think that lots of people have opinions. And I think that there is one true answer. However, I don't know for certain that my opinion is any more true than anyone else's.

However, my opinion is that after death, God will determine whether each person has taken advantage of the opportunities given to them. If they had the opportunity to learn about heaven and hell, and decided either to reject the idea, or to actively live in opposition to the idea, or for that matter, to live a life uncommitted to the concept, then there will be negative consequences - an eternal life of isolation and pain that is frequently referred to as "hell". And, if they took advantage of the opportunities presented, and to the best of their ability they followed the leadings of God, then there will be an eternal life of community and joy frequently referred to as "heaven".

I once heard someone say that, in life, there are these options:

1. there is a heaven and hell, and we live a life that actively works towards getting to heaven
2. there is a heaven and hell, but we do not live a life that actively works towards getting to heaven
3. there is no heaven and hell, but we live a life that actively works towards getting to heaven
4. there is no heaven and hell, and we do not live a life that actively works towards getting to heaven.

In the first two cases, there are eternal consequences. In the last two cases, there are no eternal consequences - but in case 3, if we are truly working on the life described in the Bible, our life is spent helping others and growing in positive ways. In case 4, we live however we want and at death, there are no further consequences.

In the grand scheme of things, there is a positive life payoff in living as if there were going to be a heaven and hell, and working towards getting into heaven, than the other two lifestyle choices.

Well... we move a whole lot slower when we're dead.

We have a lot of trouble keeping warm... I know that for sure.

I don't think we talk a lot... at least we're not loud if we do.

...and as dead people, we don't whistle or hum very often.

So... I'm pretty sure that what we do mostly is just lay around waiting to take our next breath... but after the first few minutes of nothing happening... and then after another hour or so of more nothing happening, we finally give up and just start rotting. That's about how it goes...

It's only a guess on my part, of course... it might not be quite so long before we give up.

I believe we will all be in waiting until the final return of Christ and the great judgment. Some will wait in Paradise, or Abraham's bosom until the Judgment Day. Others will be tortured in hell until that great day. Revelations says that after the great Judgment, hell will be thrown into the Lake of Fire, and that's the second death. Those who were in Paradise before Christ's second return will live with God forever in heaven after the judgment. Does that all make sense?

If you do not allow yourself to be cremated(give instructions about this before you go), then your spirit returns to God, your body and soul into the tomb to await the resurrection. That is what Yahshua came to show us. Believers die a physical death, but we will not be in the second death, which is by fire. The promise is in the resurrection, not in this life. Someone else posted it, and Paul said it: it is like sleep, we sleep, then one day we will awake to incorruptible bodies. Read Ezekiel 37.

NO one ever knows....

I sometimes wonder myself, what if there' no heaven or hell?
We would die and that would be it. Wouldn't it be a waste not to live life partying all night or doing some crazy stuff you never think you'd do?
What if heaven and hell exist? That means we're going to either one, and I'm not keen on choosing either one.

A friend said :
"Everyone dies. Doesn't matter. But we have to make sure we had fun living."

Very true.

No one really know, and if they tell you they know, they are not basing their statement on reality or any provable fact. I don't believe in heaven or hell, and all I know is that we are born, we live and we die. It can be scary to contemplate, but as some of us have said on this site, everyone goes through it and you are not alone. We are in this experience called life together. It is up to each of us to consider how we want to spend the time we know we have. Me, I want to have fun, and laugh and drive fast and love and sing and everything under the sun! Then you know you have live to the fullest!

Our soul goes into limbo, waiting for the dooms and judgement day. Our Body becomes dust and lays in the soil seeing heaven and hell as per the deeds of each person.

I read in James V P book that it's all up to us to go and see the light. Some spirits he said feel the guilt that's why they don't like to follow the light, so that they come back to the physical world to right the wrong thing they've done. Other spirits follow the light and they don't regret it.

Your life after death really depends on your spirituality as you believe in as you picture it while you were still living. That's what I believe in.

There is no heaven or hell..that's a made up story there is another dimension that we go to..then if we have learnt our life lessons for this life we move onto a higher spiritual level..if not we return to learn the lessons we were meant to learn when we were here...its called reincarnation!!
