One of the big problems about illegal immigration is that it drives down wages. Taking those jobs for the wages they are willing to take them at (in order to get access to our schools and other services for their families) is not the point. Wages in impacted industries have dropped, and need to go back up.

This is a topic that really gets to me. America is lazy (All Americans are lazy). Do you want to know how bad it is in Mexico? People get pulled over and given a choice by the "police" (Give me money, or go to jail). It's terrible.

You make a good point about the jobs after the "aliens" leave, because honestly, I know no one will stand up and say " I will work for minimum wage."

Building a more secure border won't help either (i.e. Who'll build it?) I think that the border should be torn down, and have America do something good for a change. Like step in and improve, instead of hate.

Hang drywall, cook in restaurants, paint houses, work factories, work slaughter houses, all for $10-15 an hour. Sure. They don't just work the crappy jobs. In fact, a lot of the people working the crappy jobs we claim illegals are working, are first generation legal immigrants. At least in my experience. Probably the only exception would be picking fruit and vegetables. There are plenty of both in that field. Maybe we should make our children work instead of giving them a free ride. Maybe then they wouldn't be so damn lazy when they come into the work place. I like to blame my fruit picking days on my current work ethics. I guess I could be wrong though.

Americans have priced their selves out of the job market, Our economy depends on America having a source of cheap labor to compete in the Global economy. If that source of cheap labor is deported to Mexico, that is where the American companies will relocate to. I worked in a company and asked a new hire ,a young white female to mop up a water spill, she answered that is not my job, I was hire as a receptionist, needless to say she was fired on the spot.

So you are saying keep them and pay them a little to do work and never let them become any thing but cheap legal slaves that's not a bad ideal ! OR why not send them home, raise minimum ,get off your lazy *** and do so real work so you do not have to pay at the gym !!

I hear you man. I'm from an area covered up with illegals, and while I do get really ticked off at them sometimes, I've got to admit that white and black americans would never do the stuff they do as well as they do it for as little money as they do it for.

I would not take those jobs for $25 an hour when I can use my mental talents and make several hundred dollars an hour in a cool office.
