If the pain in your legs is caused from exercises such as running or aerobics this is due to a build up of lactic acid. Stretching before and after exercise will help relieve pain. In addition, walking or gentle exercise will help relieve the lactic acid build up. However, exercising this vigorously isn't always good for burning fat and losing weight. Lactic acid build up occurs when your body runs out of oxygen to burn along with fat. If you are out of breath constantly while exercising you are probably doing much more than is necessary to effectively burn fat. If the pain is caused from lifting weights, well, that is to be expected. You could tone down the intensity of your workout. Realistically though, pain shouldn't last for more than a day or so and shouldn't be so intense that it keeps you from normal activity. If it does, you are taking on more than your body can handle. Finally, if you are hurting from lifting weights, wait until your body recovers before you go back to the gym. Lifting before that causes your muscles to break down again before they have healed from the last workout.

whenever your legs ache, it means you are in the process of gaining muscle. If you want to continue that process, you have to do more leg work outs then over night usually you gain more muscle and then next day or the day after that, you will stop aching. Same with your arm and stomach muscles.

Stretch before and after excercising for one. Make sure you have a proper balance of vitamins and minerals. Take an alternative cold and warm bath after you finish.

Try drinking a protein shake immediately after exercise. If the shake has no sugar...add a banana.
