I had to take my cat, hissing and swiping, to the vet. They had to sedate him. Until you can get to the vet, take a syringe and force some water down him. This will at least keep him somewhat hydrated in the mean time. He's not going to like that either. Cats don't like having things shoved up in them at either end!

I know she hates the vet. Most cats do. But it's a good idea to take her anyway. It's dangerous to sdtay like that for too long. They'll need to give her fluids and find out whats wrong with her.
She could have a severely inflamed digestive tract. A lot of cats get that when they're a bit older. There isn't a cure, but there are inexpensive treatments and food that she would do better on.
Worst case scenario is a stomach cancer- in which case, if you catch it early enough, it's treatable.
If she starts vomitting up blood, or has more than one "pile" of vomit that's plain bile (all yellowy liquid without any food matter) then you need to take her to the vet immediately.
Don't let her get dehydrated.
Basically, I'm sorry, but you're not going to be able to handle this yourself. Not being able to hold down food is a symptom of something that must be treated in order to get better.
If she hates the vet, let them know ahead of time. My clinic weighs animals IMMEDIATELY- and then if it's really that bad, they can be given a medication that will help them calm down.
It will be ok. For tonight, (if this has been going on for less than 24 hours) keep her comfortable and warm, make sure she has access to clean water, and switch out her food with new stuff.
Also: you may want to look into foods that are easy on the stomach. Hills makes one called i/d (stands for "intestinal diet") that we give animals when they're upset, vomitting, or having a hard time taking regular foods. Eukanuba makes another that's really good.
(can you see if there are cat clinics in the area? She might feel better without the dog sounds and smells)

Any time an animal is vomiting excessively, they need a check-up with a vet. They can't tell us everything that's wrong, so there could be something else underlying her problem. No cat that I've ever owned has enjoyed a trip to the doctor, but they go anyway for their health.
If nothing is physically wrong with your cat (per the vet), she could just be eating too fast. My aunt had a cat who insisted in eating too fast for her own good and the vet recommended her to feed the cat out of an ice cube tray to slow her eating. It worked wonders.
But like I said, please take your kitty to a vet. It's for her own good.

This may be one of the times you need to ignore the fact she stressed over the vet trip and get her in.
We had a bout of pancreatitis in March and these were the symptoms--upchuck of all food, regardless of what type it was, upchuck on water too, after that. It could have killed him but we got him in fast.
Cats need to eat, and if he's not getting some sort of medication that's making him nauseous and hasn't gotten a flea medication or vaccine just recently, you need to check with a vet on what's causing this. (Some antibiotics make a cat sick to their stomachs).

Even though your cat hates the vet, it's time to take her. You are the responsible person for her. She needs the nutrition the food gives her to live. So, even though she hates it, it's for her own good. Get going and good luck. I hope she's ok.

All cats hate the Vet. Take her anyway. Especially if you really love her.

People hate going to the doctor, but they go anyway. Most animals hate the vet because it's scary. You've got to take her anyway.

You need to take the cat in to have its kidney function checked. This is very, very crucial. Your cat has a symptom of kidney failure, which is lethal.
