I saw her on Larry King Live, and I must say, my heart broke for her. She looked worse than death. It is so sad that she suffered so much. I just don't understand why God lets people suffer. Another thing I don't get is why people disliked her...

Without suffering we would never experience joy. Without hate we can never experience love.

We don't always understand God's motives: But Tammy Faye is one of those true Christian people who the press loved to follow. And in that, there was much press for God. Perhaps that was her mission in life, to bring to light God's message.
I also didn't dislike her. I thought her make up excessive, and I don't particularly like divorce (my own for sure), but I saw her or TV and she genuinely loved people, and was a terrific Christian woman. I have made many mistakes, and forever will be a sinner. Tammy was a simmer too. And now she is home with the Lord. Praise God.

I can't answer about God or other people, but I dislike her for the trashy scam she was doing throughout the 1980's. Perhaps you are too young to know about that.

I believe she scammed people out of money they needed, I had an aunt who's mind was vulnerable, while she wasn't scammed by Tammy Faye, it was people like her who she
was able to con money from.

It always bothered me how Tammy Faye didn't go to jail and Jim Baker did. She was just as guilty.

Got to give her credit as an entertainer, being unapologetic for being a crook as well as having a consciousness of her own phoniness to keep in the public view, the PR people she had deserve a lot of credit.

Otherwise she would had been in obscurity for the past 15 years.

I don't know anything about her. As for suffering, there are two types of suffering - spiritual and physical. What is the point in stopping physical suffering? Everything and everyone will die eventually. Even the stars will perish. Physical suffering is really irrelevant I think. I believe that God could interfere if he wants, because I have witnessed healing miracles myself (a disease that science had no cure for just utterly vanished one day). Anyway, I know God has that power, but I simply don't pray for it anymore, because I realize that all physical things are temporal and why pray for that suffering or dying to be stopped? It will never ultimately stop.

The other kind is spiritual suffering. This is where God comes into play, more specifically, Christ. We all have sin, which we cannot solve on our own, and so Christ took up our iniquities and became the atoning sacrifice for our sins.

Science can solve many of the physical sufferings of this world. Cancer for instance is somehow curable, I think. We can take that into our own hands. But spiritual suffering is where we need God.

Do not look to God for things you can solve yourself.

Suffering is mostly caused by other people and their free will to harm others. God does not want robots.

Some people are always in need of disliking others, that way they have someone else to talk about.

"I just don't understand why God lets people suffer."

Because we misused the free will He gave us.

"Another thing I don't get is why people disliked her."

I never hated her myself, so I couldn't really say. I think people were troubled by her and her husband asking others to support a luxurious lifestyle for them from people who, in some cases, might be poorer than they were.

suffering is a mystery, but we should learn to trust in God. I believe that God uses everything for the greater good. When we suffer, we should unite ourselves spiritually with the suffering Christ and offer up our pain to God the Father for the forgiveness of sins and for the conversion of souls. God bless!

Poor woman, I am glad she is finally at peace. Yes, she and her ex husband did some dishonest and shameful things, but so do we all. We are all sinners and she repented and went on to do good things. She did her best and now she is with the Lord. I don't dislike her, I disliked some of the things she did, but at the end of the day, I am not her judge.

They disliked her because her and her husband stole from people to live a lavish life.

I'm a Christian and don't like what they did.. If you going to ask so many people to give, then they shouldn't have lived a life of luxury like they did..

She did more good then bad, and I'm sure she's with God now....
