My lab has been eating acorns recently. I try to stop her because I don't know if its safe or not. Some sites tell me its not ok for dogs to eat acorns, and others tell me it is ok. So if anyone knows for sure, or can direct me to another site that tells me more about why they can or can't eat them.

I have a book that lists things that dogs shouldn't eat and acorns are one of them.

I've always been told that it's not good for them, but every dog I've had has done it and never had a problem. I don't think they digest them as well as some things.
