Your pregnant dog might get a bit of diarrhea and I doubt anything else would happen. Pumpkin Pie filling helps settle the stomach if that happens. Keep chocolate away from her for sure, but from what you are describing she sounds like a large breed and I don't picture anything bad happening from one brownie to a large dog, and if she does not become distressed from having eaten it, I don't see how it could harm the pups.
Call your Vet to be sure. That is always best to do for your own peace of mind!

Just one brownie, I'm pretty sure that won't hurt her or the puppies. You know, anything can happen in this life, but momma dogs have been having puppies from the beginning of time and everything usually goes okay. So golden boxers are pretty big. Is your dog big or small in comparison. If she's little, having big pups, that could be a problem. Do as much research on line before the pups are born so you know what to expect (whelping). If you even suspect that there's a problem, call the vet before too long of a time goes by. A vet can give all kinds of shots and such to make the puppies come out if they aren't doing it very fast on their own. Sometimes momma dogs don't have enough milk and you have to get a tiny bottle and milk replacer and hand feed the pups until the momma's milk comes in and the pups get stronger. Just make sure momma has a quiet place to have the pups, like a bathroom that isn't used very much. Some people use a small, inflatable wading pool for the birth. You can throw everything out. Then the mom and pups should have a nice box, not too big or small, with a blanket or two that can be washed often.

Was the fudge mostly milk? If so she will be okay, but wont feel good tomorrow. If it was dark chocolate, then you want to go to the vet asap.
Giving birth can kill a b*tch. It's not very common, but it does happen.
*I know you don't want to hear/see this part, but I really hope this is the only litter you plan to breed. I would advise leaving the breeding up to the professionals because of the high risk of injury to the b*tch and/or the puppies.

Unfortunaly, the harm has already been done. By breeding your mutt, you have just severed the lives of dogs in the shelter. Why breed your dog when there are already dogs in the world in urine soaked, cramped cages that have never seen light? Screw chocolate. You said you didn't want to hear it, but here it is. I hope your wonderful little puffs of fluff get great homes, and that maybe instead of being dragged into a room that smells like death every friday, some dogs in the shelter we'll get adopted as well.

i don't believe the puppies or the mother will die. All it will do is raise her heart rate a little bit. In order for your dog to die from ingesting chocolate is if she ate "Bakers" Chocolate or ingested HUGE amounts of milk or dark Chocolate. My Cocker mix ingested a half a bag of Hershey's kisses once and she didn't die. All she did was become very hyper and was running around the house like crazy. We called the vet and they said not to worry about it. But if you're still worried I'd call the Vet and see what they say.

Well I don't know for sure, since my dog Chili has never had puppies. But my bet is no, they won't die. And I doubt that your dog will die from giving birth. But if you want to know for sure and want an exact answer, then I suggest asking your dog's vet, they like always know anything and what to do. Hope this helps!
And just a little bit of chocolate won't kill a dog, unless if they're alergic to it...

Well, chocolate is considered poisonsous to dogs, but it takes more than one fudge brownie to cause harm. A LOT more. She may have loose bowels tomorrow, though. It shouldn't hurt her puppies, either. Just make sure she has fresh water.
As for the dog's labor... well, it is very unlikely she will die from giving birth. However, I wouldn't be truthful if I said there was no chance. Just make sure you have an emergency telephone number for a vet close by. I hope you've taken her for a checkup already. If not, I suggest you do.

they could have parvo, worms or it must be something else. it particularly is why you will possibly no longer choose to take heed to it yet you've gotten taken them to the vet as quickly as they have been born so that they could start up getting the photographs they mandatory. Please get those domestic canines to the vet as quickly as conceivable if 2 have died already and one million is on the verge. Their temperature falling isn't a good sign merely like in case you had a human toddler whose temperature unexpectedly went way up or dropped way down you would be on your vehicle heading to an emergency room. you are able to attempt and save this one puppy or a minimum of supply extra advantageous threat to the relax 7. you may additionally researched this style of ailment that domestic canines can get and the indicators for it. you have a duty to get those domestic canines who're needless to say very ill scientific help. loss of money if it particularly is your reason isn't suitable. Vets will artwork out a cost plan with you or you are able to renounce them. This are harmless souls who're suffering considering which you're no longer be a to blame proprietor shame on you, you do no longer deserve this domestic canines or any canines or puppy. beware if its found out that this domestic canines died due on your negligence (which seems the case) you need to be dealing with a hefty fantastic (lots extra then what it would have fee you to take them to the vet and make optimistic that they had the right pictures) and likely even detention center time. that's animal forget and announcing “i could no longer arise with the money for to take them to the vet” shouldn't fly for many judges.

The puppies are fine.
The mother's body, and the placentas filter the toxins.
It takes quite a lot of chocolate to cause serious damage to dogs.
She and the pups are fine. Don't be surprised by diarrhea in the next few days though, and she still may vomit up the brownie.
Good luck to you.

Your dog may be just fine, but in some dogs, chocolate can be like poison, just like raw salmon (fish) is deadly to dogs..
It won't hurt her puppies, they all have their own embryonic sacks to protect them. Unless your dog gets real sick, the puppies should be OK. I used to have a small lap dog that ate a large whole bag of M&M's. He never got sick and kept eating chocolate until the died at 17yrs old.
