In my entire life, I think it's quite possible I've never met someone that wasn't religious--therefore, I've little connection with those outside my previous faith. I was raised to feel that non-religious specimens of life were "bad," that they were not worth my time or love. When I first realized that I wasn't a true Christian, it scared the hell out of me--this experience here has allowed me to see that niceness, intelligence, and "goodness" overall is not determined by religion.

In addition, I know quite a bit more now--about my beliefs, about the beliefs of others, and about beliefs in general. I've also met a few new and wonderful people.

This has, ultimately, been a good experience. :)

I've found some confusion in the information youngsters are getting from outside sources such as TV and spurious books. Asatru are much less aggressive and demanding of ethics from folks as I remember from some early news groups. Sometimes folks that say they are Wiccans completely confound me.

Its obvious Christians never change.

It reminds me that many dictionaries and spell checks still won't recognize Pagan words and titles.

I have learned so much in the short time I have been on here. Currently I am reading about the LDS church so I can answer questions about it with more understanding. I have also learned a lot about Atheist philsophy and beliefs.

*Yeah I learned that people can be very intelligent some are here to just make others mad.
*I know there is a lack of respect for other beliefs.
*I've learned a few names- didn't know I needed to know since were all adults and name calling is for children.
(all in the name of being" funny")
*I learned people don't set a good example for what they believe.

Sadly - and I'm sure someone will give me thumbs down for this - but not very much learned here that I didn't already know.

I have, however, met some excellent people, who I value for their intelligence, wit and senses of humor..

I never realized how much we ALL generalize and stereotype groups and faiths we don't completely understand or agree with. I know I'm guilty.

I found people that know about my faith...
I found lots of great friends and naturally they tend to be Pagan. What's with those people? Do they really have to be so cool?

Blessed Be!
