On my recent vacation to Panama City I passed over 90 churches or signs that led to churches on my 4 hour drive.
Doesnt it seem like all of that space dedicated to worship could be better used for a hospital or something?

This is in response to that last post.
If we all believed in jesus then we wouldnt need hospitals?
You must be retarded.
You act on faith alone and see where it gets you.
If you get shot just go and kneel beside your bed.
Im sure youll get all better within a matter of days

Yes. It could've been used for hospitals, shelters, rehab centers
and things that would ACTUALLY help humanity. What a bunch of wasted space!

I have heard it said that in the United States, the total amount of churches spread through out the land, would only hold 3% of the total population, and that is IF each church were filled at a particular moment. That is indeed a sad statistic: especially sense God has chosen to protect us, and loves us enough to graft us in with the true olive tree: Israel.
Church doesn't make a Christian, but as a nation, and as a whole, we are in deep trouble.

Dream on. I wish every place was like that. I went to Maine and in a 4 hour radius I found like 9 churches. It was soo sad. What has this world come to when people wish the churches were no longer there? Sure, some churches out there are horrid, but what about the ones that are there really to help and build people in the christian walk? Shame, shame, shame. What has this world come to?

try telling that to the church-goers, they'd have a fit! (no, that's not important, jesus heals ALL! ...hmf, tell that to a dead man; who didn't make it cause there was no room for a local hospital, all the room was filled up by churches!...)

but yes, i agree with you... it's amazing how many churches of the exact same belief (i know there are many different branches of christianity, etc, i'm not talking about that...) are in my town... oh, the things we could build there!!...

I totally agree. My faith has too many places of worship. We can worship at home for God's sake. If you think about it, your house is a man-made building just like a Church. We should use our resources for more important things indeed.

If more people truly believed what was said about Jesus in Isaiah, through his stripes we are healed, we wouldn't need any hospitals at all.
