Friend of Jesus-you have made a false statement, Lucifer appeared as a serpent and it is unclear whether it was male or female, so please try not to play fast and loose with the facts.

I notice your use of past tense, so do you infer he/she was a living being??
I was always under the impression the character of Satan/Lucifer was made up by the church to terrorize people into giving more donations, and to suppress witchcraft.
So since it's a fictionous person, who cares whether it was a man or woman

Satan is a fallen angel, a spiritual being, and angels have no sex.
Heb 1:7 In speaking of the angels He (God) says, "He makes his angels winds, his servants flames of fire."
If you read about Satan as "he" in the Bible, it's because of the English language. In some languages there is only ONE pronoun for "he, she, and it". People of that language group would not even think of asking your question.
Having said this, however, if angels appeared to human beings in the Bible they always appeared as men.

The Bible refers to Satan with "he", "him"; Satan is male.
2 Corinthians 11:13-15 (New International Version)
13For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, masquerading as apostles of Christ. 14And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. 15It is not surprising, then, if his servants masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve.
