Hi Chris,

I just heard the devastating news about your Mom. I am an atheist and a humanist, originally from New Jersey (blech), now living in MA, and I believe your Mum would be so happy to see you heree. You are a testament to who she was, you and your sister and the rest of your family.

I really am so sorry to hear about your loss. We all lost someone in Susan. How old are you, Chris? I hope you know your Mom is beyond proud of you, always was.

Born in Indiana, left at 17 for the military and ended up in Florida 10 years later. Now live in the Philippines and an a free lancer in respect to religion. I call myself a "NO" because I always say no to Organized Religion. MY view is organized religion is about power and money and not about the real truth that should be the only motive.

At 67 I am very content and happy and very pleased to have crossed paths with Susan even though it was only so short. I saw something special in her and one question of hers caused me to add her to my group. She just struck me as being real and truly sincere. A rare trait I very seldom find today.

I believe in God, and the love that humans can share. I believe love is an energy which is not bound to time and space.(Einstien belived this too) When we tell some one we love them we are telling them in the past , present and future. I think hatred is only in the emediate surrounding and only in this very momenst but can be changed if only through healthy guidence. I believe in the happiness of children for it is our children who take our lead. I believe that hatred is a sickness that permiates our world. I also believe that we must be kind to those who are learning to hate and direct them to kindness and teach them that hatred should be seen as a sickness, If we were to treat our people who hate with the same kindness as we would a good friend we could change the world for the betterment of humankind. I also belive that adults have a responcibility to be firm at times with those who may have power and are adults. When we look at world leaders we can see that those who gained power through violence and coersion were dispised and even hated (a fear based emotion) Hiltler, Stalin, Mobotu, Noriega, Mao Zedong, Saddam Hussien, Habre, Mugabe, Ceausescu, and many more that I cannot think of, whom also had no one to tell them they were hurting our race. Now look at the leaders who achieved thier goal of kindness and love, Christ, Muhatma Ghandi, Martin Luther, Martin Luther King, Nechee, Mother Theresa. and many more. These people were taught by someone and may have had strict guidence but with a loving hand. So in saying I believe in love and I belive in my fellow person to have the capibilty to learn. God bless to those of you who believe and warmest positive thoughts sent to those who have thier own beliefs.

I was raised a Fundamentalist independent Baptist have 36 years on this earth amnd now take a spiritual approach and have more interests in Good than Christianity and I am experimenting with and studying Pagan and Wican principles which are much more conected with the natural and learned spirituality of may of our ancstors before they were forced to convert or be tortured, burned, or otherwise oppressed. (Christianities spread sounds alot like what many now describe many Muslims as don't they? )
