It looks as though your tattoo is going through the normal healing. It will scab or get dry skin on it and it will all flake off and the color should look fine. Don't pick or rub the dry skin or scabs off. Let them come off on their own. Keep it moist with Bacitracin ointment or tattoo ointment 2 or 3 times a day. If it itches, smack it! Don't scratch it, or you may pull the ink out with the dry skin. But from the pictures, it looks like it's going through the healing period.

no that is not normal, my brother in law has a tattoo at the back of his neck as well the same size and it never did that, did you go to a cheap shop or something because color should not leave it will only fade, the only way it will leave is if a scab gets ripped off but it will not all disappear like that! are you applying the cream they gave you?

Oh, yeah. Don't fret. Tats go through an ashy stage when they're healing. The color will get bright again. Nice ink!

wow that is a crazy change.. let it heal and if the color does not come back with in 2 weeks call the shop and tell them or go to a different place and they can touch up the color for you

i agree with rua_88. when you first get a tattoo, the colors are brighter. through the healing process they will fade, but should still be visible. if you have a problem your artist should touch it up for free.

Yes thats normal, its flaking and peeling. It'll settle down soon, just make sure your using lubriderm lotion three times a day to keep it moisturized. It'll be just fine!

Are you putting polysporin on it? Do that, keep it moist and covered. It looks odd to me though.
