Check Luke and Metthew about the lineage of Jesus - nothing there about his mother Mary coming from Egypt. Does not say she was or was not. Possible.
But shortly after Jesus was born his family went to Egypt to live until Herod died - to avoid the genocide in Bethlehem. Then they returned.

No, but the Jesus Mother Mary story looks like an almost direct rip off of the story of Isis. Except that Isis was much more powerful what with being a Goddess and Queen of Heaven and Mother of God etc.

The Bible account of Herod’s slaughter of all the boys two years of age and under in Bethlehem and its districts is in harmony with the other historical accounts of Herod and his wicked disposition. This occurred not long before Herod’s death, for Jesus escaped by being taken down into Egypt by his parents, but they returned and settled in Galilee after Herod died. These two events were foretold by God through his prophets Jeremiah and Hosea.—Mt 2:1-23.
So she was In Egypt, but not Born there.

The Virgin Mary was from Nazareth and she was Jewish but I do think that Jesus and the holy family are depicted with light skin when they probably should be much darker in skin tone. Good question, here's a star.

That would be Mary of Egypt, a trollop who later converted and became a hermit. I know her soul well.

I heard that once but just because a person is from Africa doesn't mean they were black.
Everything I have read says she was from the tribe of Judah.
