My husband and I agreed tonight that we are going to start trying for baby number two! I'm so excited! At the same time, I'm nervous about it all! What are things to take into consideration? I did have two kids [one of which was my cousin who is temporarily gone--well I don't know what's going on there...long story] so other then the typical two kid things what do I need to look out for or forward to?
By the way--my son will be about 2-3 years old when the baby comes! Thanks!

socmum16--It's funny that you said that because we just started on potty training my son recently not because of another baby but because he started taking off his pants/diaper to poop on my floor! LOL! I'm so lucky. I just hope he doesn't regress...

You need to make sure that you interact with both of your kids, at first it might be hard because you know how newborns are, but if youe keep focused on the other one too, everything should work out jst fine!
Hope I helped!

It is great that you are having them sorta close together in age. My boys are 11yrs and 4 yrs. . The age is a big factor for us but with 3 other stepsons, 5 boys, no girls. Try and toilet train the first one if possible. He will be very jealous as the newborn will take up alot of your time. Spend quality time with him , so he knows you love him too. Involve him in diaper changing, geting powder helping the baby where ever possible. Good Luck!

Well no one ever tells you "they" rarely nap together.. So, get your rest now !
Get a 3 in 1 carseat the "travel system" is a pain and the baby grows out of it too soon.. ! We got the Joovy Double Stroller it's awesome and it folds nearly flat.. We don't have a minivan or SUV....
The second one will learn things so much faster because they have a sibling to watch it's great..!
Prepare for a little bit of jelousy it's normal and hopefully it will pass..
Good luck and be well.

Love the new baby just as much as the first and you cant treat them the same because they will have a good age difference, however, this is a good age gap for children. I wish you the best of luck! babies are all a gift from god, so remember to always cherish them.congragulations!

Get your son potty trained before the baby comes! I know it sounds trite, but it's so nice not having to change two diapers. I know, because I am doing it right now.
But, I love my kiddos!
