LSD was originally used as a therapeutic drug in psychiatry. It was used to treat many conditions from criminal behaviour to schizophrenia. Some people use it just to "trip out" while others use it for self discovery and enlightenment. It produces visuals in users (not hallucinations) as well as disorganized and different thinking.

It's hard to describe to someone who hasn't taken it. Don't freak out if you do - you may feel some bad effects but to take it a few times is worth it. Basically, you'll learn that there are some REALLY different ways of thinking, and looking at the world, and hopefully that will help to inform your opinion as you get older. Good luck.

Lysergic acid diethylamide, LSD, LSD-25, or acid, is a semisynthetic psychedelic drug. It is synthesized from lysergic acid derived from ergot, a grain fungus that typically grows on rye.

Its a psychedelic, you see patterns and visuals etc with them. LSD really opens your mind - the guy who discovered DNA? was tripping on acid when he did!
