It can be one of three ways:
1) John, Sr, John Jr., John III, John IV, etc. (normally the first person doesn't need to add Sr. to his name because his birth certificate doesn't say Sr. But, the next generation's birth certificate must say JR. or II. )
2) Just plain John, (or John, I) John II, John III, John IV, etc.
3) Here's another way:
Father is William Jones; Son is William Jones, Jr. Then he has another son and he names him after his own father: Such as: Thomas Jones and he would be Thomas Jones II.
For the sake of the families probably they all have nick-names to tell them apart. LOL
Is this more confusing to you? I hope not!

the only confusion is with the 2d individual to have the comparable call. If its father and son, then Sr. and Jr. If it skips a technology or greater then its I and II. An occasion of the latter is Henry Ford and Henry Ford II. After that for the duration of the two case, the numbering follows. As a edge bar, i'm a junior and my father glided by making use of his first call and that i became observed as by making use of my 2d call to sidestep confusion or touching on me as junior. on a similar time as that worked whilst i became youthful, i've got had to describe why i circulate by making use of my 2d call all of my grownup life. think of approximately what you're gonna do on your baby!

Yes, but it is III for 3rd. My son was named after his grandfather and father, so he is III. Lippie, Daisy and I are right!
