I usually ignore them. Some can be really mean. But if it's someone I know I'll make some sarcastic comment that's not mean but gives them a giggle.
Sometimes with hubby I won't say a word just mock his actions. If that doesn't get him out of it and he says something like "you're not humorous" I'll smile and say well the other day Robin Williams called me for some new jokes. Don't hear no casting calls for a human dragon.
Some people just have bad days and are looking for a fight, preferably with someone they can hurt without long term repurcussions. I kinda feel sorry for people like that. Being mean to everyone because you're having a bad day just ensures it stays that way.

You can either keep silent (give your other cheek) or, give them a good fight, too. It depends on you. However, it isn't nice to have a quarrel with anyone; it isn't good for your heart. The best way to avoid getting heckled or getting into a fight is to avoid these kind of people. Do not hang out with them.

No good answer ...If a friend just turn and walk away.
A Boss?
A Husband?
A total Stranger?
Boyfriend?? If it is, just stop the relationship...if he is picking on you now he will hurt you as the relationship becomes more committed with time.
NO ONE needs a bully in their life.

I ask them if they are having a bad day. That usually stuns them enough to stop their unreasonable behavior. Unless I'm also itching for a fight myself...

I would look at them with my eyebrows raised or my mouth open in surprise, then shake my head and walk away. Do not get yourself pulled into nonsense...its a waste of your time and energy.
Good luck!

If it's a work situation I'd just smile at them & walk away it drives them mad. Rise above this behaviour (unless they actuallly touch you!) act like you don't care & got more important things going on in your life.

I provoke them by asking them: How old were you before you realized that you weren't like other little boys, then I knock them to the floor, smile, and walk away.

you look very calm at first and as they start to piss you off you suddenly outburst as loud as you can making threatening gestures and when you get close make alot of noise not only by yelling but banging on walls throwing chairs push them etc... all that if your only trying to scare him/her. now if your trying to hurt them or kill them just ask.
