>>Could be Psoriasis...try olive oil

Use a good cleanser. The kind with the granules in it to really get rid of all that dead and dry skin. Then pat dry. Before bed and when you are sure your elbows are completely dry, smear on either vaseline or white Crisco (not butter flavor). You will be amazed in the morning how soft your elbows are if you use the Crisco.

The very best thing I have found for seriously dry elbows and knees is Olive Oil. Put it on right out of the shower while you are still wet everyday and in about 1-2 weeks you should see a remarkable difference. I also think very highly of Nivea for these areas.

Peace!

There are several things you can try. Aquaphor or vaseline might work, but they might be uncomfortable, since they are somewhat gooey. Walgreen's and other pharmacies carry something called Alpha Keri oil. It's similar to baby oil, but smells nicer. You just rub it into your skin right after your bath or shower, before you dry off, and let the area air dry. Also, hand creams will work better than lotions. Eucerin is the one that my doctor recommends.

Try using a pumice stone or a loofah when you shower. Make sure your skin is really wet. Don't overscrub - but gently rub away the dead skin. Apply lotion while your skin is still a little damp. (The lotion seals in the moisture.)

After a few weeks you should see improvement.

I have the same problem especially during the fall/ winter months. when I bathe/shower, I use a pumice stone to lightly scrub my elbows, and when I get out I use Palmer's cocoa butter in the jar to smooth over my elbows. It helps a lot!

this may sound crazy...but crisco!!!
just rub some on your elbows overnight and put a sock over it (cut off the foot part). When you wake up you should have smooth elbows!
