My avator is Mum taken about 6 years ago and I just received an email, I won't say from who, that I should not be displaying a dead person's photo, she is dead forget about her, she was only your Mother, a dead broad, that is the person's exact words, I will not show this to my sister it will upset her badly, I have reported the person

Why are people so cruel to email something like that?

I think that it is great to be able to put a picture with the person that we came to love, through only her words, and she looks as lovely, as we knew her to be.

it is a shame that there are people on here that have no class at all.

No, it is an honor
She was so beautiful and much younger than I thought
I found out how evil and wicked some people are at a time when you would think they would have some decency they don't
Their hearts are full of evil, I was up until 4:30 Am after reading some of the hurtful things they said, and tonight too about Tammy Faye
They will reap what they sow
God Bless and Keep you
My prayers are with you
I lost my Mom in Feb of this year
Vengeance is mine saith the Lord

You know, it's funny how when someone is behind a computer screen they become the biggest bad-*** in the world, but get them in person, and it's a whole different story. People just like to so stupid **** like that. You can't stop it, but always remember this:

Argueing online is like being in the special olympics. Even if you win, you're still retarded.

I hope that lightened up your mood. I'm sorry you lost your mother, and I don't think it's wrong at all to use her picture here and there online just so you can say, "she may be gone, but she'll never be forgotten" I think she'd be proud to know you were using her photo.

Chris, I think it's wonderful you want to honor your mother with her photo. It shows how much you love her.

People are cruel and they shouldn't be. This isn't a display to say look she's dead...its in honor of the memory of a beautiful lady that should be remembered as such.

She was a blessing that was here for too short a time....there is nothing wrong with HONORING her memory.

Blessings.

I am sorry you met a person like that.
I am glad you aren't like me, in that I see 8 out of 10 humans as mean and cruel, while you have been spared this.
The love you have shared with your mother illuminates the lack of love in their lives, and makes them mean and jealous.
I hope you can put this behind you and focus on all the good loving messages.
If I may be so bold but tell your sister that in this world there are mean little people that are scared of the light your mother brought in this world. Tell her and prepare her so she will be stronger when/if they meet. I wish we were like your mother but so few are, better to be warned of snakes, then get bit.

While I have met a number of people who claim being photographed is against their religous beliefs, I'm inclined to agree that is is just the work of a jerk with a major cruelity streak. Try not to let him get to you. If remembering your mother in this way gives you comfort, by all means do so. Personally, I think it's a lovely memorial.

What a big brave person your e-mailer is, hiding behind the "anonymity" of the Internet like this! Even if you do know the person I very much doubt they would have the guts to say what they have just sent you to your face. Treat this e-mail with the contempt it deserves, delete it and forget about it. I think its a very fitting tribute to your mother.

This is a lovely photo and a loving tribute. You already know that so just ignore those who act out of bitterness over their own lives.

Don’t get upset, just pray for them. How miserable must a life be to behave like that?

No, it is not wrong to honor your mother, may she rest in peace, by having a picture of her on Yahoo answers. It is actually very touching.

Whoever e-mailed you had nothing better to do and no worth in his or her life other than to cause someone pain.

Sounds like a dementor from Harry Potter if ever I heard of one..., or a demon from the Screwtape letters... to be more on topic with the category.

No, it's not. How would the person know it's your mother? If they know you personally and said that, that;s rude! if they dont.. and just read it online (like if you said it in another question) then dont worry about it, theyre stupid. Many people on here write just anything cuz they have issues in real life so they diss ppl virtualy to feel better! Forget him/her.
Sorry about your mom.
may she rest in peace. she was pretty =]
