I ask a question and I get hate responses, it's almost as if I'm at a White Surpremacy Rally. Don't wish me to hell...Don't tell me I'm headed for an eternity of flames and damnation. I didn't mean to piss you off, damn, calm down. Pitbulls, I tell you. I just want to learn from you and you mybe from me. It's like I'm a black man and I want to go to your school, and it triggers tempers and hate towards me.

I was raised Christian I just, now in my life am exploring other ideas. Is that wrong? Wouldn't that strengthen my faith if I then returned to God? I'd be more well educated about others who were "wrong".

i don`t know why but the worst, most unethical and truely bad people i know are so called christians. it was enough to keep me away from the church i went to as a child. when i got old enough to think for myself i decided i had enough. i just try to be a good person and live by the golden rule and if god is as cool as they say he knows who the bad people are. he can see you, right?

I wish you'd give actual examples. No real Christian would "wish" you hell. I don't know where you're headed for eternity; I only know what God had to say about it in the Bible. If you're wandering, I hope you do return to God.

It's not wrong to research what other people believe; I have. It's one of the reasons I come here. I haven't read any of your other questions yet; maybe I should. If you pose a thoughtful and sincere question and you get ignorant responses, you should ignore those. If you pose an ignorant, inflammatory question and you get rude, offensive responses, I'd consider that par for the course. Not excusable from Christians, in any case, but a natural response.

Most Christians I know are loving, intelligent, insightful, and giving. Only members of the fundamentalist sect are as you described: "at a White Supremacy Rally." Though I am an atheist, I too want to learn more about Christianity, the religion in which I came of age, and I receive thoughtful replies from true Christians. But, inevitably, a barrage of hateful responses comes from fundamentalists. I'm thinking most of 'em were home-schooled and late social skills, among other lacks.

(An excellent example is 'zzz' above. It's like a disease, the poor things can't help it.)

No. I admire Christians as lots because of the fact the persons deserve. i do no longer admire Christianity. Atheism has no regulations. All atheism ability isn't believing any gods exist. If a man or woman has a code of ethics, say from humanism, that does *no longer* derive from atheism. "i assume that the undesirable apples continually supply the entire bunch a undesirable call. might you agree? it particularly is style of like the Westboro Baptists, or different extremist non secular communities" No, i does no longer agree. faith is inherently (and arbitrarily) judgemental. Christians hating gays isn't purely the extremists, it particularly is the norm. have not got faith me? There are election effects to show it. fantastic, you do no longer, yet you comprehend Christians who do. you need to be mistaking justified anger for meaningless rudeness. Anger is sweet. Anger has been the engine in the back of each useful social substitute. collectively as you will possibly have a doctrine of turn the different cheek (in spite of the actuality that it would not look such as you in my view do out of your rant) that mentality is undesirable for society. And it actual seems such as you're attempting to silence our grievance with a one million/2-hearted attempt at shaming. i comprehend extra advantageous than to anticipate Christians to handle me courteously.

Your last paragraph shows you have no idea what Christianity is. Being Christian is not something you do or inherit. You can not be raised Christian. That's what non-believers like to think but it's false. You can be raised with Christin values but that is it. Being Christian comes by repentance and belief. You can do absolutely nothing to earn your way with God. Your exploring is a result of your own desires and wants. That's exactly what God dislikes in anyone. What you describe has already been addressed in scripture many years ago. Nothing new here.

Pit bulls they are...

They are filled with so much hatred because they have had the world by the bullocks for so long and now people are starting to wake up and see that you don't have to believe what your parents do because they say you have to.

People arent afraid to speak their thoughts or have a mind for themselves or question the thoughts that have been shoved down their throats.

When someone doesn't want to be in your club anymore it ticks people off a bit.

Christians by default should not be hateful. If you meet someone who is hateful and says they are a Christian, then they are not Christian. No one should be afraid of the truth including Christians. I agree that the more you explore the Christian worldview the more it corrosponds to the way the world really is.

Best wishes

Christianity is a bit hypocritical.
They are just like Terrorists in essence.

Look what Christian American Imperialism did to Native American and Mexican land. To the Polynesian Hawaiian Islands and other tropical American owned lands.

The natives are either extinct (like animals) or can't even afford to live on their own land b/c of American "land value$."

Just because we didn't see the footage on tv and news doesn't mean many were slaughtered in the name of the Lord.

Much like in this day and age many are slaughtered in the name of Allah or whatever.

Most religious people are just plain pushy I find. Always wanting to change your mind.
If they despise others so much they should all move to the holy land where it's really rich and holy in Terrorist activity and preach they're messages of hate and love and hypocrisy to them.

Some christians are just afraid of being shown the flaws in their religion.
You have a right to explore other ideas, but take everything good and bad with a grain of salt. Both those for and against religion will show what is most logical about their view, but not what isn't.
I believe God wants us to learn. I believe that is a big reason for why we are here.
I'm sorry that so many "christians" have been rude to you. It isn't a good thing to be rude to anyone just because of their views or their questions.

it depends on the christian, proverbs 25:2 It is God's Privildge to conceal things and the King's Priviledge to discover them. Gospel of thomas jesus said: the seeker should not stop until he finds. When he Dose find, he will be disturbed, After having been disturbed, he will be astonished. then he will reign over everything. p: it's not about who's Right or Wrong! any true fallower of the lord will tell you that.
