I think the western media is very one-sided in its portrayal of Muslims. We pretty much only see the bad side, i.e the extremists. However, open-minded people are fully aware that EVERY religion has negative elements. There is good and bad in all faiths and beliefs.

Right now you are a target because of your faith. There are many that believe that all Muslims want to blow stuff up and kill all that oppose their religion. Please, don't take it personally. After all, most of the people that are spewing all this hate are going to church and learn about tolerance and love. That is until they leave the church, then all bets are off. I realize that it may be little if any consolation but I do not hate you. Also, I do find it very sad that because or your faith you are being targeted. Yes, I am a judgmental person, but you have done nothing to offend me. Just try to ignore all the fanatics that you may run across in here and do your thing. You may find that you will be a better person for it. Good Luck.

As a Christian I don't hate you. No Christian should hate you.
For those of us who are American, you may remember, almost six years ago, there was this little matter of the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, where thousands of people lost their lives to radical Muslims. That tends to color people's opinions of a religion. Not that it's an excuse for hateful language. But it's a product of the times.
More recently, there was a demonstration in Great Britain by Muslim men angry about a comic strip involving Mohammed. The demonstrators were chanting about killing people and taking their wives as war booty. That too tends to color people's opinions of a religion.
As a Christian, I came here for the same reasons as you did. I found that there are a LOT of people who come here to pick a fight. So don't feel singled out. You're not the only one, by a long shot. If you plan to come back, you need to grow a thick skin.

They are ignorant, and know nothing about Islam, they believe what they see on t.v that Muslim women are oppressed and forced to marry, that Muslims are terrorists and Islam is voilent, that Muslim men beat their wives and force them to do everything,
The truth is the opposite, Islam gave women so many rights 1400 years ago when women were considered nothing,
Suicide bombing and hijacking is completly against Islam, Islam, Islam is a very peacful religion, and ofcourse killing innocent people is not what Islam teaches,
Muslim women are not forced to marry infact she has to agree. Some Muslims do get forced in marriage but thats because oof their traditions and culture which are against Islam.
There are many misconceptions and stereotypes about Islam, and I'm here to teach people what Islam really is

Some people on Yahoo! Answers like to argue and spew hate. It not just for Muslims. It's done to every faith and political opinion. Some people like to try to hurt and offend others for fun. Not everyone uses Yahoo! Answers for the same reason.
Peace be with you.

What you have on this yahoo answers place are a lot of people who are not what they appear to be.
Christians do not hate Muslims.
I would think you would realize that there are those who call themselves Muslim who are full of hatred of others, especially Jews. In what light do you perceive them? It would be easy for me to conclude all Muslims hate others of other religions when so many express a hatred of Jews.

Of all of the things in the world which has a place, hatred has no place at all.
Hatred is often based and rooted in culturally-bolstered ignorance and stereotypes which often can be proven to be untrue as long as people are willing to suspend their belief in that which they have always believed - in other words have an open mind, a loving heart and not judge others.
Sadly, power and religion stomp along hand in hand these days (mind you, they always have, just read some history) and steamroll everyone with the same ignorant brush.
To rise above it, you just have to trust in the goodness you feel inside of yourself, that same seed of love and goodness from which you were born.
Hatred cannot be conquered by force - it can only be allowed to collapsed upon itself when it's supports are removed.
Peace upon you

I dont hate you but your religion is no good.... the newspaper daily talks about suicide bombers and people getting arrested for plotting bombs, about leaders who want isreal and the US to be wiped away and children who are taught to accept jihad and avenge their family by killing. They are muslims and most terrorists are muslim. The fruit of Islam is not peace. Please do something and protest against them. Go in public and tell the radical muslims to stop teaching hate in the mosques and how to kill people with bombs and guns. I would like to see a public display of muslims supporting the US and Britain against terrorism. You have freedom of speech here. If you are here in the US or Britain then support the country and protest against these murders

I don't hate muslims, I have a few close muslim friends and we get along just fine. I just dislike those muslims that hold the view that they have the one true religion and everyone else is wrong.
