Since Tammy Faye Bakker Messener talked and was so happy, and cheerful. Wasnt afraid to die cause of where shes going. Only thing she was upset was leaving her children.

Are any christians afraid to die? Or not cause of the faith they have?

When I first became a Christian (prayed to accept Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior), although I didn't understand many things at that moment, the "funny" was that I was afraid to die BEFORE that, and AFTER accepting Christ, I felt such a great peace in my heart, and I knew inside me that I could die that very day, and I will have no problem with that.

A sing of a real conversion is that you know that you know that you are going to heaven. If you don't have that, maybe you have to reevaluate if you have really become a Christian, or just following a "religion" (no matter the name of your group, the relationship with God is a personal one) which, I am afraid I have to say, won't save you.

I try to stay close to God, of course; otherwise the peace may go away (but you can allways turn again to Jesus). And still I don't want to die, because there are a lot of things I have to do and I want to do yet.

Excellent question! Yes, I think some Christians fear death. Let's be honest, the familiar is comforting. Even when we know that the ultimate end is better, we still resist change.

Knowing that something better waits in eternity does not temper all the fears we have in this life. Death means leaving loved ones behind. Death means the ending of all we have known to be real. If it were not for the peace that passes all understanding, I think we would be terrified. Only through the supernatural hand of God do we pass from this life with assurance, peace and yes, even joy.

I am Christian. I am not afraid to die because I hear Heaven is far better than Earth. Then again, I probably don't represent the majority of Christians, as I'm also Goth. Wait around for more answers from a multitude of people. One answer from one person cannot adequately describe the thoughts of that person's entire group.

Sometimes I forget that I've already come to a pont of believing in Jesus and have already confessed Him as my Lord, that I've asked for all my sins to be forgiven and placed under the blood of Jesus, that I've been baptized as a believer and "resurrected" to living a life of godliness, that I've asked for and been filled with the Holy Spirit. When I forget, then I can lose my joy and start trying to work out my salvation but the Holy Spirit will then remind me of the cross and that my sins have been forgiven because of Jesus. Then I get happy again.

yes, not all are but earth has been their home for so many years everything they know is here. everyone has to be afraid of dying at some point in their life because you don't know how your going to die. you just have to remember that there is a better place beyond earth that god made and it has everything you could ever dream of and more! if you believe in God

I'm a Christian and I'm afraid of dying because I don't think we can really prepare ourselves for death or the after life, because we truly have no idea what it's going to be like. And I'm a person who likes to plan ahead and be in control, so it's a scary thought.

I'm an atheist and I'm not afraid to die.

Honestly I know more Christians who are afraid of death than atheists. I even know a few Christians who are only Christian because it gives them a way to delude themselves about the finality of death.

I am not afraid to die, but I look upon this life as a gift from God. I am want to enjoy the gift as long as he lets me. I look forward to the day I am in heaven, but want to serve him as best as I can on earth.

As a Christian, yes I fear death...or shall I say I fear the moment of death...the last breath, the last heartbeat etc. However, I do not fear what is to come after death. I don't know if believers go right to heaven or simply sleep until the judgement comes, but either way, I know my eventual destination.
