IT WAS the year 30 C.E. Jesus Christ had embarked on his great ministry in Galilee. He was preaching “the good news of God,” and many Galileans were moved by his statement: “The appointed time has been fulfilled, and the kingdom of God has drawn near. Be repentant, you people, and have faith in the good news.”—Mark 1:14
The Bible tells of the time when only good news was the order of the day. Bad news was something unknown, unheard of. When God completed his creative works, planet Earth was ready for man and beast to enjoy. The Genesis account tells us: “God saw everything he had made and, look! it was very good.”—Genesis 1:31.
The absence of bad news did not last too long after man’s creation. Before any offspring was born to Adam and Eve, the bad news of rebellion against God and his orderly universal arrangement of good was reported. A high-ranking spirit son became a traitor to his trusted position and succeeded in moving the first human couple to join him in his rebellious, traitorous course.
A loud voice in heaven announced, rejoicing: “Now have come to pass the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God and the authority of his Christ, because the accuser of our brothers has been hurled down, who accuses them day and night before our God! . . . On this account be glad, you heavens and you who reside in them!” This would bring increased trials to mankind, for the heavenly voice continued: “Woe for the earth and for the sea, because the Devil has come down to you, having great anger, knowing he has a short period of time.”—Rev. 12:10-12.
That is GOOD news.

The gospel of Jesus Christ--the good news that God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, and that whoever believes in Him will not perish, but have everlasting life. It's the message of salvation.

The good news is soon God's Kingdom will take control over the earth and will bring with it an end to wickedness polluting the earth. A literal government, it will restore humans and the planet back to perfection as the only solution to the planets problems. Humans, us, will live there. We can live there.
What news could be better?

That God exists, loves you and wants you back in Heaven with Him. He wants to have that chance to gain entrance to Heaven so He sent His Son to suffer and die for your sins. That Good News is that Jesus died so you don't have to. That with faith in that and being a good person on earth, you can live eternally in Heaven.

1 Corinthians 15:1-4 says, “Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.”
