Check out the Kodak V-705. It definitely has the style, the twin lenses give it a unique look, and it clocks in at 7.1 megapixels and a substantial 5X optical zoom that is very unusual for a camera this slim.
Also look at the Canon Powershot TX-1. This is a vertical format camera also with 7.1 megapixels, and twice the zooming power - a full 10X. It also shoots movies.
If you want to give up some style and slimness and get a pure photographic expert camera, go for the Nikon D-2XS. You'll get faster shooting and sharper shooting and full professional controls. On this one the xoom factor is purely up to you - it comes without lenses and you buy the ones you think you'll need.

Even though you want to "find a good camera that's at least 7-10 mps," you have to take into account increased shutter lag between each picture taken. Nevertheless, should you set aside the 7-10 mp limitation, I would like to highly recommend the purchase of a Nikon Coolpix L10 for the following reasons:
1. Besides taking well-exposed hi-quality 5 megapixel pictures, it uses a standard set of rechargeable double AA batteries which last a very long time - 300 shots per set of rechargeables;
2. Has a 3x optical zoom;
3. The flash setting for "red-eye" correction is on the navigator wheel and not within a submenu;
4. It's very small and light;
5. Uses inexpensive SD memory cards;
6. The digital video feature takes wonderful "sound" videos which are noise free. It records the piano very well with it's built-in microphone;
7. It comes with a USB 2.0 transfer cable which you connect to your USB computer port;
8. Has tripod mount on bottom of camera;
9. And the price is a mere $119 [sold at Samy's Camera - www.samys.com, and Staples.com; $99 at amazon.com [with free shipping and no tax]
Review(s) can be found at www.amazon.com [Query: "Nikon Coolpix L10" along with pictures provided by satisfied purchasers.]
Good luck!

Cannon does seem to be making a superior product. We compared some Cannon shots to a $4000 dollar camera set up and the Cannon shots were better with more definition and sharper color. Blew us away!
