He descended from King David so was He not rightfully the heir to the actual throne of Israel?

Actually, since Joseph was not his father then he wasn't a descendant of King David. Matrilineal lineage (i.e. through his mother) doesn't count.
And btw, to be king you have to be more than just the right bloodline. You have to be, well, a king. Which he wasn't.

I take it that this is a joke, but on the very off chance that it is not, I will respond. The answer is no. No one ever became king because 1,000 years earlier his ancestor was. Do you seriously think that this alone is sufficient cause to be king of the jews. Even if so, do you seriously think that jesus was the only living descendent of david, and therefore had clear title to the throne. Even if so where do you think he got this inheritance, through a woman and not a man, and one who had a bastard child at that?

that was a major concern with the jews and rome at the time . ceasar didnt anyone claiming king or the son of god , according to their belief he was the son of zues and king of all occupied rome . the jews just wanted genilogical proof of the jesus heirship plus when the jews questioned him he was very vaig and aswered their questions with a question ! so it was never proven then or now , maybe he was trying to illustrate that the king davids heir could be anyone among the jews , he was a big on using his comments to make you think . from another jew , by the way

If so, it would have been way down the line. Many others would have been the literal king long before he would have been so.

The "nickname" given Jesus was meant to be sarcasm on the part of the Roman soldiers...as many Jews thought that he was indeed the man who would become king.

The Jews belonged to the Judah tribe, the tribe of the Kings. Israel is the whole country with its 12 tribes and one among them is Judah tribe. Thus, THE LORD JESUS CHRIST is not only THE KING AMONG THE JEWS but the whole Israel; and this means in the spiritual sense as Israel means overcomer men in the beginning were cursed per divine plan and as they become victorious over this obstacle men will become overcomers-the Israel(ites). Also THE LORD JESUS CHRIST said Cheer up, I have overcome the world. Thus, the worldwide overcomers are the Christians today. And the one WHO reigns spritually is THE LORD JESUS CHRIST until HIS 2nd coming to rule literally the earth-universe continuum under the Kingdom of heaven. THANK GOD; FEAR GOD; PRAISE GOD; GLORIFY GOD; HONOR GOD; LOVE GOD AND WORSHIP GOD

He was not the son of the king so he was not a right heir to the king's throne. He was called "king of the jews" in sarcasm by others. He did not claim to be king of the jews himself.

HE is our literal KING! The Bible defines a Jew as someone who is to inherit the Kingdom of Heaven.

Romans 2:28 “For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh:
29 But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.”

GOD bless

He is and not only that He took back the kingship of the world which Adam lost - By His death on the Cross - Jesus satified God's justice by paying the death penalty for all mankind of all time and satan have to relinquished the rulership and kingship back to God Son the second Man-Jesus. Neat!

He was not decended from the Davidic line b/c the Old Testament said it had to come from his father's side. BUT Jesus said "My kingdom is not of this world."

Not one this earth. Jesus clearly said, My kingdom is not of this earth. He is the King of the Jews but has not yet assumed that position.
