Marianne T, before YOU start assigning Colors to Witchcraft, I'd recommend that you LEARN a little bit about it FIRST. There are NO White Witches and NO Black Witches (with respect to good and evil, not with regards to Race). We are ALL just Witches. Are there Black Christians and White Christians, speaking with regards to evil or good? NO, They're ALL Christians, period.
OWL do NOT underestimate the power of a Witch to influence things around him/her. No, there AREN'T a ton of special effects when we do our spells, no one has EVER been turned into a TOAD, maybe a TOADY but not a Toad (LOL). A witches Spells are manifested on a more subtle level, and are intended to influence the world around the Witch. The thing about Witches "flying" on Brooms was a figment of the imagination of the Inquisitors who witnessed a few agricultural rites and simply assumed that the Witches were trying to fly. In fact, the Witches were dancing while holding their Brooms and Staffs hobby horse style showing the crops how hig to grow and be plentiful for the coming harvest. NOW< for the BIGGIE, WARLOCKS, Wiotches are just withces, A Female Witch is called a Witch and a Male Witch is ALSO called a Witch. A Warlock was a person in the Burning Times who would identify the members of his/her coven, in other words, a Warlock was a traitor. As you can see a Female can be a Warlock as well as a Male. The only requirement to be considered a Warlock was to turn in your Sisters and Brothers of the Craft. Again, before you start slinging terms around, MAKE sure that you know what you are talking about, FIRST. You people have become FAR too influence by the TV shows that you've watched, Witches are NOT like that at all and Hollywood has NOT done us any favors by presenting programs like "Bewitched" "Charmed" and any of those others.

My grandfather got cursed by a witch, and she was a member of the family! That curse worked too, poor fool. However, most men and women accused and killed for practicing "witchcraft" were simply healers or worshippers of nature. I think a lot of the fear lies in ignorance. I think there are evil forces some people dabble with and use to hurt others but "witchcraft" isn't the only way to hurt someone, and I don't see most people who call themselves "witches" or pracitioners of magic as looking to harm others. God may have disapproved of humans using these powers because often God isn't the focus of these practices, but that's a matter of debate.

I don't think all christians think anyone particular group evil. For me, it is especially inacurate to say that all non-christians are considered evil. I don't look at it that way. While it's probably not up to be to decide who is evil or not, I have met some seemingly evil christians. as for witches, if you mean literally, I don't think such a thing exists (and thats not a religous belief, I just don't think they do), but if you mean a lifestyle, I have found that people are more than things they are called. I know there have been evil christians, and pretty sure there have been some saintly pagans. As for you, me, and everyone else, I guess we are somewhere in between those.

I have never believed in the idea of witches. I feel a lot of women and some men were tortured and killed over nothing more then ignorance. People may claim to be witches but in all of history I've not seen where in real power was displayed. Never seen anyone in the sky riding a broomstick-(and I did look for them in the sky), never seen anyone turned into a frog.
If I were to look at witches in a logical manner I would think with the kind of power people said they had far few of them would have been captured and trust me if I were a warlock people would be shaking just hearing my name.

Bah - if you have to use a color, then all of humanity is a varying shade of grey. We're both good and bad, we have our good moments and our bad moments, We ALL have something - or more than one something - we've done in our lives that we are not proud of and that we do not brag upon to others.
That applies to christians, wiccans, witches, jewish, muslim, buddhists, atheists, nihilists - EVERYONE.
So in my book, that makes a witch no worse - or no better - a person than anyone else.
If I must have color with my magic, I prefer Disney technicolor.
To me, ignorance is a bigger sin than being a witch. And Purposeful ignorance is the BIGGEST sin of all.

The Christian Religions thrive on fear and judgement. They try to panic you and brow beat you into low self esteem so that they may control you.
Remember that no one has the right to judge you, no god no person no organisation.
~"Beyond a wholesome discipline,
be gentle with yourself.
You are a child of the universe,
no less than the trees and the stars;
you have a right to be here"~
This is what they need to understand.

Marianne T apparently pulls things out of her...nether regions.
"black witches really intend to do evil...so there is no arguement there, even from them..."
And she knows this from her VAST experience in personal relationships with "black witches", I suppose. ~snort~
My hubby is Black, and he's a Witch.
And I think you'd get an argument from him.
And from me, for that matter.
This black vs white color-coding thing is stupid.
If one MUST use colors for different kinds of witchcraft, why not use ones that make sense?
Green witchcraft for herbalism
Red witchcraft for relationship magic
and so on
