Yesterday after 2 weeks of waiting to miscarry I had to have a D and C. To my surprise it was not nearly as terrible as I had expected.... until last night. My procedure went smoothly and I was out of the hospital less then an hour and a half after surgery. We even stopped to get something to eat on the way home. When I got home I felt ok just tired so I slept for a few hours. When I woke up my neck back shoulders and arms were so stiff and sore I could swear i'd been hit by a truck. A BIG ONE! Ive only had very minor cramping and very little bleeding but my upper body just plain hurts. I was told I would have a sore throat for a couple days and I have heard of alot of people getting shoulder pain after a general anestetic (sp?) but this seems extreme. Has any one else experianced this?

i had a d&c 9 years ago. my doc told me i should be able to work the next day which was sat. and if not call the clinic and get an excuse. so at 7 am the next morn i was at work it took me 1/2 hour to walk up about 25 stairs. i was in so much pain and yes i felt like i was hit by about 3 trucks i went right home and spent the weekend and monday resting. it will get better in a few days.

You are. Your dog was not on a leash, running in the road where a dog does not belong. Even if you could somehow prove that the driver was going too fast, which is impossible unless he braked, your dog was still somewhere that is meant for cars and trucks. The road should not be an obstacle course for drivers--besides being a danger to himself, your dog was a danger to drivers as well, who could have had an accident trying to avoid him. Your dog got hit by no fault of the driver. The fault, I'm sorry to say, lies in the hands of the owner.

wow... I had a D & C a few years back and never experienced a lick of what you are talking about... I think I would call my doctor for some reassurance if I were you. Sorry about your loss by the way I imagine this has taken a huge toll on you emotionally as it did me.

You were likely so stressed about all this that you have been holding a lot of tension in your upper body for the past two weeks, and now that it is all over you've relaxed and are just now feeling the strain you've been carrying in your muscles.
