Do you recall a joke about a flood and a man who kept praying that God would save him? I've linked a version below if you haven't. The point of the joke (other than the humor) is that you may be asking God for help, but not hearing the answer (i.e. often because it isn't the answer that you want to hear). "I have no friends or family." - Can you explain this a bit more? Most people have at least a few core friends. If you have no family, are they dead or are you just not in contact with them? "I am constantly reminded how worthless I am, and nothing i ever do is good enough." - Worthless to who and concerning what? Hopefully you find value in yourself. If you can't, then I can see it hard to see that others value you. "And I am constantly blamed for everthing that goes wrong." - Who is blaming you? Is there any truth (i.e. are you doing anything to sabotage events)? If the blame is false, can you clear yourself? Since these aren't family/friends (you said before that you had none), can you get away from the situation? Basically my point is take some of the effort to better your life into your own hands. Would you really rather let your life be controlled (i.e. fate) or live a life of your own making (free will)?

Hi Fiddy!
I'm more concerned that millions of people are suffering here on earth.
The concepts of heaven and hell are understood in various ways even among Christians. In short, heaven is to be in the presence of God while hell is to have chosen to put oneself beyond that. The idea of a place of punishment as opposed to a place of personal choice was sadly used by the corrupt political power that claimed to be the church of old as a means of controlling people through fear. This is not what The Church is about.
In the Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam there is a very potent line about how the individual is them self both heaven and hell, implying that we can find the road to either by the choices we make.
Would I be right in guessing that you have been exposed to fundamental Christianity?
I'm afraid many who seek to follow the Christ are waylaid by red herrings from tackling the issues around them in the world today, like poverty, illness, injustice and racism. One example is that so many Christians go on about consensual sexuality between adults, while ignoring the issue of the sexual abuse of children. In so doing, I'm afraid they either help build hell or at least collude with it.
Good wishes.

Let's turn that around; why is anyone one happy when millions are going to hell? Why is anyone happy when millions of children are starving to death on earth? Why is anyone happy when millions of babies are dying in their mothers wombs? Christians are happy because they can find joy in this life despite the pain in this world. Life would not be worth living without finding joy in something. Should we all be walking around depressed to make non Christians happy?

I am a Christian and I am NOT happy about those who may be suffering in hell! It saddens me! In fact, your question saddens me!
I would rather noone ever experience any form of hell! On earth or, after death!
What makes me sick is people who know better and say things like you just did!

I'm not happy that people are in hell ! I'm really sad that they didn't choose Jesus before it was too late. What kind of uncaring monster would I be if I was happy at some lost soul. It's heart wrenching to me, it really is.

God is love and as christians we are taught to show love to everyone especially by sharing our faith with them.We are not happy when people die without knowing God,you're mistaken. The road signs are made to guide us but if we ignore these signs and get into a ditch;we have ourselves to blame.

I can feel happy and not be happy about people in Hell. After all I didn't put them there. They chose to be where they are. In short, it ain't my fault and I refuse to accept blame.

first you said 'when' then you said 'about'.
I am not happy 'about' people suffering, esp. in hell.
As to 'when', well, my mother always told me people were starving to death in some countries. That's true but I just ate and I'm full. I do not feel guilty, just lucky. sorry

Not one Christian is happy about people going to hell....Not even God wants them to go to hell...He wants them to repent and be saved and live eternally in the kingdom of heaven. If you do not know Jesus as your savior, I hope you will seek and find Him and be saved. God bless you.
