I know it seems contra logical, but I won't fight it anymore. I accept it is inseparable from my personality. I noticed people like my dark side more anyway. If I can't beat it, I should join it. I don't have to be evil to be soulless or empty. I simply exist. The lights are on, but nobody is home.

All of us have a dark side, like Carl Jung was talking about. It partly depends on what yours does.

If it's a question of embracing the feelings, of pain, hurt, rage, terror, fear, guilt, that's probably a good idea.

If you hurt yourself or others, then no, don't embrace it. Ask for help. Reach out & contact someone for help.

I remember saying that.... I remember thinking I had no choice & thinking it was who I was.... I remember the struggle with identifying myself as.... of the dark side.

It was a time of suffering, confusion and twisted entertainment. I had a strong sense of belonging and being able to define myself....
I thought I was different, powerful, and dangerous.

However I questioned my identity and recognized I was only believing a thought about who I was. Later---which is recently---I recognized the actual truth of who I am....

Who I am has never come or gone. I did awaken.... except it wasn't awakening to a new identity, it was waking up from who I thought I was....
Who I am has nothing to do with any type of identity, nor what subculture I can call myself a part of.

It has been long since I've identified with the dark side. Despite what you're told.... it isn't who you are. And despite what you're told, there IS a choice.

Who you are doesn't come or go.... it has nothing to do with a particular identity.

It's been educational to understand the dark side intimately. Now I know one aspect of it from the inside out.
And.... beyond.

what your suggestion is turning off the emotion from within... and yes i have done that but not for long.. i may do it for a day or two.. just to collect my thoughts.. if you live where there is no love.. no joy.. then you are not living.. dont you want love and joy in your life.. maybe they like the dark side of you because it makes you less moody.. dont do it premently.. but do so when you feel the need.. something as a way to protect your self..

Go to the light. In the long run it will be worth it.

saying it is one thing... but doing it is another thing... if you have the guts to do it, then go... i'm not daring you... just to remind you that there are things that we think and say, but, we simply cannot do them.
