Can you take the kids for a walk and find a caterpillar? Be sure to bring back some of the leaves you find it on, since this is probably it's natural food source. Put it in a big jar with air holes in the top and the leaves and some longer sticks (so it has a place to anchor it's chrysalis) and let it do it's thing!

u can see this in any park or gardens or u can ask the school to supply one. Uaually it is in in the park. Gd luck on yr search

try going to natural reserves, or just any pet stores.
maybe they will have what u want.
