i'm uncertain in case you will possibly evaluate those men rock, yet they're all better musicians than ninety 8% of the rockers/metalheads. the lads i'm speaking approximately are the blue guitarists like BB King, Clapton, buddy guy, Johnny Lang, John Mayer, and so on and so on. they're all marvelous guitarists and sing besides. And Jerry Cantrell is definitely rock. He has some solo stuff the place he does lead vocals and guitar, yet he additionally sang lead on a number of Alice In Chains stuff too.

Continue to work at it. Some people simply cannot play guitar and sing simultaneously. The next time you watch the famed B.B King you will see what I mean.
Seldom does he sing as he plays the instrumental. When he does sing, he doesn't play the guitar.

Some people just arent multi-taskers.
But really... just start with very simple stuff and work your way up paying close attention to how the words and music fit. Words that fall on the beat are easiest. When the rhythms get complicated it's trickier.
